He's also had times of undying loyalty & unconditional love -something Sam didn't get from John. I am sure Sam tried to give Jack a better Father-Son experience than both himself & Dean had. I know he loves them though, it's just how John raised him. But, yeah Dean definitely played a large roll in who Sam is, even though I wouldn't say Sam really learned what he knows from Dean. I think Sam is his own person, and that because of that; he'd be a great dad who encouraged his kid to be better (while Dean encouraged Sam to hunt). That probably doesn't make sense lol. But, yeah, I just realized my comment above sounded really mean/angry and I didn't mean it that way! All love to you, mate.

Cas is the Dad, Sam is the Mom.. Like come on, he is gentle, caring and nurturing. He empathised with the kid and able to relate to him due to his past experience but instead of making it as an excuse to act like a jerk he helps the boy, reassuring him that he is good and Jack is worth every sacrifice they did for him. Sam raise him to be good! But the writer seemed to write the show based on what they think the majority of the fandom would like which is....... And as usual, sam is sidelined.

This is why I am so annoyed that everyone is making Dean and Cas the "dads" while Sam is the "awkward uncle". Like, no, Sam was the only person who was actually nice to Jack. Dean called Jack a freak and a monster, and everyone ships Destiel so they're like "Oh!!! Since Cas is one of Jack's dads that makes Dean his dad too!". No. Sam is Jack's father as well. Dean was only nice to Jack when he got over his heap of HORRIBLE CRIPPLING DEPRESSION when Cas came back. Sorry for ranting. I loved your video, though.

The Destiel shippers always do this, try to make sure Sam is seen as someone less and separate from Dean and Cas. Like when Claire first came back and they called Dean and Cas her dads but Sam was reduced to "uncle Moose". But it's especially annoying with Jack, considering how much more Sam was there for him last season, in comparison to Dean.

And naturally shippers would see Dean as the other father because it's like 2 dads raising a kid. But with Jack, i totally agree that Sam was more of a father than Dean was.

It still doesn't sit right with me, especially seeing this gorgeous video putting it together so clearly, how Sam is not the most important person for Jack. Sam was a great father to him when nobody else was there for the kid. Sam RAISED him, while Dean was only being a toxic douchback and Cas was dead (not his fault, but not much chance of building a relationship). How is Sam's and Jack's relationship being so firmly side-lined in later episodes? How is Sam not the one grieving Jack the most when he dies?

That was amazing everyone gets so hyped about Dean and Jensen and Destiel that i feel like they (and the writers) completely forget how amazing loving and kind Sam is. Compared to Sam, Dean is honestly kind of a jerk, he's more of a monster than Sam ever was. All Sam ever did was try to be good even if he used dark ways to do it but Dean is so mean and rude especially to Jack at first. He can't deal with his own emotions so he takes it out on everyone else, and makes everyone else afraid of him. Yeah Dean raised Sam when he was a kid and that showed some love and kindness but as he grew up he became more and more like John. Also the writers always seem to only give Dean good relationships with other characters like Charley, Cas, Bobby, Crowley, Donna, Jody, Benny, Mary (she basically completely ignored Sam) and later on even Jack. As you showed at first Sam and Jack were really close but as the season went on their relationship seemed to be completely ignored and replaced by Dean and Cas with Jack. The only character that has come on the show and been closer to Sam was Amelia, Jess and the werewolf girl but we all know how they turned out. Even when the ending is talked about i feel like everyone feels like Sam will die and Dean will live and honestly if anyone has to die it should be Dean.

Dean's whole purpose on this show is doing whatever it takes to protect his little brother, he would never be able to be truely happy if Sam died while he survived. I dont see the show ending with either of them alive unfortunately. Though if one did it would have to be Sam, he's lived without Dean a few times and he was doing fine, he'd find a way to find peace and move on. Dean wouldn't. Not saying one is better then the other but they definitely deal with things differently. Not that it really matters, pretty sure they both are going to go out in a "blaze of glory". :(

Jack is also closer to Sam...So were Meg and Eileen, and probably more if I put more thought into it. But most of those other people you mentioned that are closer to Dean are also extremely close to Sam and have beautiful moments with him...such as Charlie, Cass and Bobby (and I don't think Bobby was closer to either one really) And I think you're way, way, way too hard on Dean.

Oh my dear Chuck! This is amazing! And thank you very much, I didn't actually need my heart or anything... But seriously, I'm such a Sam-girl, and I've really been loving the connection that's been forming between him and Jack this whole season. And as some have pointed out, it's true that Jack is eager to earn Dean's approval, but Sam I think is really the rock that keeps him steady. Sam is the one that's believed in him from the start, and has told him again and again that he can choose to be good, and who his father is doesn't determine his destiny. I hope this continues to pan out throughout the season. I hope it doesn't wind up being one of the plot lines that just trails out and gets forgotten as things go on, because it's such an amazing thing, especially considering Sam's personal experiences with Lucifer. Anyway, thanks for making this wonderful, amazing, heart-wrenching, tear-jerking video. :)

It's just my opinion but, for me, season 1 to 5 were a masterpiece. Season 6 to 8 were really interesting. But season 9 till now is very disappointing. Sure, there are some great moments and interesting development but it kind of lost the focus that the show had in the first five seasons. It just feels like they're making things up as they go, and that's making the whole show meaningless. The only reason I'm still watching this is because of both the cast and the characters(specifically Sam, since I absolutely adore him since day one. Though Cas also owns my cold heart, and I'm starting to appreciate Dean) so I'm really happy to see that Sam may have finally found a friend and a sympathetic soul in Jack. Again, I'm just stating my opinion with no intentions of causing any harm! P.S. pls forgive any grammar mistakes, I'm not a native english speaker
