Noob question... I understand why you vacuum the bubbles out before it sets, but why vacuum the hot pour? Does it make the metal pull into the tight areas? 🤔🤔🤷‍♂️🤔🤔

If only I had a 3d printer, I'd definitely be making a resin gargoyle to put on top of my monitor. (Yeah, I admit, I'm still running a 17" CRT. A fairly nice one though, made by Nokia, with built in speakers even.) Oh, idea time... I'd drill a 5mm hole in the base of the gargoyle, and put an RGB LED light in it.

The gargoyle was made from a wax resin. The sprues were added to the wings to make sure the metal flowed throughout them. They act as a vent 👍🏻
