Casting Devil-Forge Custom BRONZE Coins - How To Make Bronze At Home

How do you make bronze at home? Well, in this video I'll be making Devil-Forge some custom bronze coins using scrap monster copper cable and tin. I modeled the coins myself and 3D printed them using castable wax resin. I made a mold with investment plaster and burned out the wax. The bronze is melted with a mixture of roughly 88% copper and 12% tin. If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up and hit that Subscribe button for more.

Not gonna lie I thought this channel and bigstackD were the same channel for a long time and was always confused when the channel name was different. Another really cool cast! I take it the plaster is porous? I've been trying to understand why you use the vacuum chamber during your pour and I'm guessing it's to pull the metal through the mold. Is that risky? I keep thinking the molten metal could do a number on that chamber...

Fantastic video. I'm curious - assuming there is only the single hole in the plaster into which the metal is poured, what is creating the vacuum at that stage, around 6:50? Is the plaster slightly porous or is there another hole in the solid plaster within the vacuum chamber? On a different note, your channel has been a welcome distraction this past year, so thank you.

Is tin bronze stronger than alluminup bronze? I assume by the way it melts it at least would hold better detail than the al bronze. I havent ordered any tin to play around with yet. Im still trying to keep the zinc from exploding lol Happy new year
