Been following for idk 5 or so years now years now, and this is one of my favorite videos. Not because of the content as a whole, but because of the wholesomeness. What Ms. Rachel (sp?) said at the end rings true with the gulf states and hurricanes. It’s something you have to accept living in these amazing areas. But the resiliency of Louisianans, Floridians and Mississippians when disaster strikes is incomparable. Cheers DMFD

Went through Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. My Aunt and cousins lost everything in St. Bernard parish during the hurricane. This video is what southern Louisiana is all about. As a family tradition we do BBQ shrimp every year around thanksgiving. Hope you had a great experience while you were there. God Bless you Robert. Hope your father is doing well and we are praying for him.

Say, Robert, that accent is a real mix. They have the French from Acadia (Nova Scotia), from which we get the word Cajun. You add the Southern US accent. Then you remember the French-speaking folks got worried their kids were growing up only speaking French, so way back they brought in English teachers… from Brooklyn, NYC! Now you pay $20 to “pawk ya caw in N’Awlins on de holiday!”

Rob what an awesome video. The culture that you’re able to show people around the world who follow your channel teaches us all something truly amazing. The word was “resilience.” They showed exactly that coming back from all the hurricane’s. What an honor being invited and seeing what their lives are all about. Your expression was funny when she said she was going to send some seasoning home with you for your wife cause she wasn’t giving up the family recipe when you were asking what was in the pot. Oh and BTW nice pancakes with that huge cast net. 🙌👍

Rob great video as always. I have always enjoyed the way you show people the real America brother. I love the way your videos show that there's a lot more to America than just the big cities. Many people never get to see the pure beauty that is America. But your videos always show it. You ain't going to see 95% of this on mainstream media. I love my fishing, I love my hunting. But I truly love the true beauty that our country has once you get out of the cities and you get and see real America. Rob if said this so many times and I wouldn't keep saying it if I didn't think it was true. DMFD is the #1 hunting and fishing channel on KZbin brother.
