I knew this was going to work when you posted it!!! No way this was going to fail. You mastered this!!! Great Video Brother!!! can't wait to see what you add to this. Yes, I'm going to say it again. Just AWESOME!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯

haha thanks! I wouldn't say mastered... 😂 I'm still testing the lost foam technique, and next weeks video didn't go as planned... Thank you so much!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Thanks! Yeah me too. Everyone did 1 link at a time.

Awesome I was wondering how complex it could be made. I'm going to try to cast a monocore
@HeinrichsMade2 ай бұрын
Yeah this is probably the most complex thing I've made.
@justanothermeltingchannel Жыл бұрын
Yes! That was awesome, and it came out SO clean! Dude I’ve been excited to see how it came out!
@HeinrichsMade Жыл бұрын
Thank You! Yeah the plaster coating really makes it come out clean. I'm glad, because I was really excited to see if it worked 😂

You absolute mad lad! That's the most impressive thing you've ever cast!

LOL!!! I like to explore the craft of lost foam. I'd probably have to agree,, I'm pretty impressed with this one. 🔥🔥
@brianb.2398 Жыл бұрын
Just... Wow! Honestly, I thought you would be able to pull this one off, however, I thought it might come out missing metal in one or more of the links and/or some links fused together. It looks perfect from my end!
@HeinrichsMade Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the positive encouragement 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I thought that could happen too... That's why I added a bit more plaster around the links. Thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏
@fikustoast5118 Жыл бұрын
Yeh that is super kool! One of the best castings yet I think! Awesome
@HeinrichsMade Жыл бұрын
Thank you my friend. It definitely is one of my best for sure.
@freemanmetalworks1698 Жыл бұрын
I thought that was how you were going to approach this. I figured the only way it would work was if each link was individually gated. I was really hoping it was going to work and happy to see that it did. Fantastic! That lost foam technique is so dang cool!
@HeinrichsMade Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think there is only 1 way to do it. I think next time i'll make it the same way, but have it in a shallow mold, without such a long sprue. Thank you so much! Lost Foam is so cool!
@freemanmetalworks1698 Жыл бұрын
@@HeinrichsMade The real cool thing (or it seems like a real cool thing to me), is that you can coil the existing chain in the bottom of your bucket and "grow" that same amount of chain you made the first time doing exactly what you did in this video. Man, this video just rocked!!!!
@HeinrichsMade Жыл бұрын
@@freemanmetalworks1698 exactly what I was thinking. Just put the foam looped through the end of the aluminum chain and add on to it. Cast again!
@willstreasures7986 Жыл бұрын
Great job!! A lot went into that pour. I honestly thought that they would all come out connected
@HeinrichsMade Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah a lot did definitely go into this pour, I'm glad it worked!
@lewisgiles8855 Жыл бұрын
So at first, I said no way, but after seeing how you plastered them I said damn... it's gonna work! Nice work bro
@HeinrichsMade Жыл бұрын
Hahah, I'm glad I was able to change your mind 👌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Thanks!!!
@look4lec Жыл бұрын
It turned out better than I thought it would, for sure! How are you going to link something on there without soldering or welding it on?
@tobhomott Жыл бұрын
Betcha he lost foam casts whatever it is the same way he did the chain - by cutting the foam and looping it through the end link and burying the aluminum chain in the sand bucket with the pattern to pour. Easier than setting up this mold... I want to know how long it took him to glue up that sprue tree!
@HeinrichsMade Жыл бұрын
Thank you! as @tobhomott said, to add more chain top it, I'll make another tree out of foam and loop the end through the aluminum one I just did. to add something to it, i'll make 1 link and loop it through out of foam and cast 1 link.
@HeinrichsMade Жыл бұрын
exactly! I plan on casting 1 foam loop when I plan to connect it to something. The tree probably took me about 10-15 minutes. I had to use hot glue for it to dry quickly.

@HeinrichsMade Жыл бұрын
Seeing is believing!! When there is a will, there is a way. Sometimes you just have to sit down think, and plan it out. I super happy it worked! Yeah, lost foam is so cool.
@kumouri Жыл бұрын
I did not think that was going to work! I thought they'd be fused together and wouldn't move independently
@HeinrichsMade Жыл бұрын
HAHA, yeah It's super cool that it works! I made sure there was a gap in between the links to prevent that from happening. Make sure to see the entire series of the Witch-King Flail. This is the chain for it. Check my playlists for the videos. 💯💯💯
