You don't slow the line down at the end of the cast with a spinning reel? It works the same as with a baitcaster, just use the index finger instead of the thumb.

+denelvo Yes that does work I agree but the lighter lures I throw on them only requires a pitch to decrease the plash. I use the finger or spool palm trick to stop the lure near my targeted area more then a speed decrease. Thanks for chiming in brother, I should of added that tip.
