He really does understand her and she knows that. She knows that if she falls he will be their to catch her. and it goes both ways.

That's why I love this show. The writers remember things from past episodes like Kate "forgetting" her swimsuit in 5x04 and the ice cube trick in this episode. Most shows don't do that, they think the fans don't notice the inconsistencies. Also is it pathetic that I know that the loft scene starts at 1:25?

that is one thing I have really liked in this relationship. Unlike other shows they know that they have feelings for each but they never kissed (except 3x13) and never slept together. I think that strengthened there relationship and added real love and loyalty. Becasue if you pass that line without achknowledging what yhou are it gets messy and doesnt make the relationship strong. At least to me. they both respect each other and really love each other. I love the progression. Its true magic..

YES!!!!!!! That's what I always say!!!!! It was all or nothing for Caskett. No bittyness or frustration!!!! Well not frustration through getting together and then breaking up at least anyway. Break ups always suuuuuuck!!!! S8 aside. That is a topsy turvy backwards season for the bulk of it anyhow. I mean towards the end of S4 it got veeeeeery veeeeeeeeeeery frustrating indeed!!!! And in S8... as I said; I think that's an anomaly but pre S5 they were laying the foundations which yes were unconfused well there was no clouding or whatever from a previous relationship anyway. And then yes you're absolutely right!!!! Turns out all those frustrating times, near misses and whatever else made for a very strong and beautiful relationship that's true!!!!!!! @@OurGodReigns All the frustrating times showed up because of how insecure Beckett feels. Yeah OK, at the end of S4 she says her walls are down ... but the moat is still there ready to engulf whoever doesn't pay attention. Mind you, the death of her mother is not fully avenged until S7 or so, therefore the insecurity is there. She that kind of woman who must constantly be reminded "I'm always here for you.", "I love you", "I'm with you no matter what", otherwise she'll freak put like "What if I'm not good for him anymore?", "What if I'm not attractive anymore?", "What if the music stops and we were in love with just the dance? (as she herself said somewhere at the end of S4)". Remember how Castle stood by her next to that bomb? and remember how in the very next episode almost fell for Eric Vaughn's sweettalk, just because Castle ignored her and preferred finishing his multiplayer session? that's the insecurity I'm talking about. All this being said, is Beckett worth the struggle and constant fight for her heart? The answer is a resounding YES, of course. Stand by her, help her overcome the inner demons, protect her when she cannot do it herself ....always. The reward is woerh the effort.

Same here. I want a relationship that has a solid foundation. her reaction to the lists still warms my heart. Sometimes seeing it in writing adds a bit more realism in it. Saying it does too, but writing it in a sence makes it permanent. I hope to feel one day about a guy the way she feels about him. In the season 2 finale Castle invited Kate to the Hamptons and she teased him that he just really wanted to see her in a swimsuit. So he told her that if she didn't want to bring her swimsuit she could always skinny-dip. She didn't take him up on his invitation then, but this season in "Murder he Wrote" when they're at the Hamptons, she showed up at the pool in nothing but her bathrobe and when she took it off is when Castle said "you forgot your swimsuit".

I know I loved that scene too. It was an amazing test of her strength and will. It is one of those temtation things that one decision will make or break a future relationship. I think them showing us her attempting to go back in 3x22 shows that she always wanted the physical along with the emotional in the relationship. I love that the relationship isnt just about sex. its about them and their interests. They are enjoying everything. I love how they look at each other. My heart always skips.

Also you could see how hurt he was, when Beckett was dating Demming shortly after that and you could tell he left at the end of the season because of that ... the way he behaved in the face of this thing with Demming, I think at this point he was already aware that he had deeper feelings for Kate. I love that even in the beginning of their relationship it’s not all about sex. Like obviously they are in the honeymoon stage so they do it a lot but I really like that they show other aspects of their relationship like fights, being worried for one another and the pure love they have for each other emotionally and not just physically. As much as I like the little sexy scene between them I love those aspects too. It shows how realistic they are. It makes me love them even more.

Anpther thing I really love about this show is how they show their love and chemistry for one another. In Valentines Day it was a very sweet moment, and still initiating that they were going to sleep together. She was showing her love and admiration for him. And then this scene where she is being spicy and hot with him, completely seduing him with her melting ice trick. So there is definitely romace both in sweetness and spicyness. I am totally loving this show and this season. Love IT!!!!!!!!!!

There are so many things that I love about this scene. I really loved Kates reaction to Castle's first item on the bucket list. it seemed to be her heart either stopped or skipped a beat for a second. Also I think we are getting real close her proclaiming her love to him. She was nearly caught off guard just by what he wrote. Her first reaction was to kiss him. I believe that she wants to tell him but she is jut waiting for the perfect moment. She also just fell a little more in love.

She totally proclaimed her love a little while later, in 6x17 (In the belly of the beast), in that love letter she hid in Lazarus' mansion, and in spoken form: "I was never alone. When they were interrogating me, the only thing that kept me going was thinking about you, about our future, the wedding ... You're with me the whole time" (basically an extended version of that famous "I almost died and all I could think about was you" from 4x23).

"Be with Kate" ... I think he indeed wrote this three years prior, specifically around 2x19. There we have that scene when an allegedly death-cursed Castle tells Beckett out-of-the-blue: "If something were to happen to me I want you to watch out for Alexis". In that altered state of mind Castle already saw the two of them as husband and wife, even if there was a loooong and bumpy road ahead to that goal.

I find it so funny. I work early in the morning so I go to bed at 10pm. The only night i stay up late is monday to watch this show. I cant get enough of it. I agree had they gone any other way the show wouldnt be as strong as it is. Beckett has always had feeling for Castle. She read his books and was a serious fan of his. She never let anyone in until him. She showed him what it really meant to love someone. I so loved the scene at 4x23. It was pure raw passion, and at the perfect time.

Yeah. I think when you start a relationship off with sex, it can often become defined by it. Then the people don't know how to relate to each other emotionally. Castle/Beckett had a solid foundation before crossing the line; the love was there, the trust, loyalty, devotion etc. And, in many ways, they had already become "lovers" a long time ago-emotionally & spiritually.

i think what really got Castle interested in Beckett is her not being all over him at the beginning. It was that kind of thing where she is interested but not showing it and him thinking he has to getr her to want him. I agree she is totally living the dream. The interview they just posted from Seamus Dever made me feel a lot better. I am getting so excited about the season finale. I cant quite get my head around how they are just "still" but at the same time i cant wait to see it. Same with me. The couples that I was addicted too were Harm & Mac (JAG), Mulder & Scully (the X-Files) and Charlotte & Cooper (Private Practice). And so far Castle & Beckett have taken it to the top for me. The whole story line with them is so pure and natural. And I love that she was a major fan of his before she even met him. So they are my OTP and I dont think I will see anything that tops it. I love natural chemistry and a real relationship. its like life only entertainment style.

I think she had ideas when Castle told her he'd be alone that night...probably planned to go over if he didn't ask her. She'd spent enough therapy talking about wanting to take her relationship w/Rick to the next level, but as of Undead didn't feel safe enough yet. So, imo she would have remained somewhat emotionally unavailable & maybe not gone "there" on their first date...But almost losing Castle & her life made her realize after 4yrs of love & loyalty, it was time to put it all on the line.

But I think the "be with Kate" and Castle's bucket list originate from S02E19, which would have been roughly 3 years ago. That was the Maya Mumy Curse Episode and there, Castle, too, was driven by his superstition and thought he was gonna die ... so he did his will and even asked Kate if she would take care of Alexis if something happened to him. In my opinion it's very likely that around that time he wrote his bucket list and ultimately realized that he wanted to be with Beckett :)

I also think that Kate showed Rick how to grow and Love without the physical in a relationship. I kind of like that we dont know how many men she has been with. Remembering in season 4 she tells Castle shes not a virgin and he already knew that. I liked that the chase was on the other foot, but they were chasing each other. She could have had him on day one but she wanted it to be grounded, she wanted him to want her and to keep the want going. She wants to keep the desire in the relationship.
