I don't think it cheapens the show at all. Before they were together, they had all of their reasons for not being together. If they had, it would be going back on everything they felt for a moment of weakness. That is not what their relationship is about. And when they are together, it still doesn't cheapen them. They have to balance their lives with the work that they do. It shows more facets to them and gives us an inside look on who they are away from work as well. We don't just like the show for the murder. We like it for the characters too. Plus, there is a little something called comic relief. With the intensity that the show sometimes has, I think it is important to have those little moments where we as an audience are allowed to breathe. Quit hating the writers. They are doing a fantastic job.

all the moments that they were interrupted, the one in "to live and die in LA" pisses me off the most, because they were NOT interrupted, imagine if they kissed then and there.... could've saved them a lot of heartbreak. Castle should've just grabbed her face and told her he loves her, then and there.

I really enjoyed this series. Then the stories emerged of the behind the scene disputes & disagreements. The cherry on top was how the “next”season of Castle was the kill off Beckett & fire all the precinct actors. The plan was to turn Castle into a PI series. All that left me with a metaphoric bad taste in my mouth.
