Castle, Castles and more Castles

This episode we are exploring four different castles! Starting off the day near Stirling just west of Edinburgh we toured Midhope Castle which was featured in Outlander as Lallybroch! Jamie Frasers ancestral home. This was definitely a highlight stop for me being such a huge Outlander nerd.
Next stop was the William Wallace monument in Stirling. I have always been fascinated by the war for freedom in Scotland and Braveheart was one of my favorite movies growing up. You can feel the energy in this place and such epic tales of battle were told as you tour the monument!
Next stop was Doune Castle which was also a must see on my tour. This was also known as Castle Leoch in Outlander. This castle was featured in so many literary works, TV shows and movies. The tour is narrated by non other than Sam Heughan aka Jamie Fraser from Outlander. The other portion of the tour is narrated by another famous voice Terry Jones from Monty Python and the Holy Grail!
Last but no least was our tour of Edinburgh Castle.. Finally got tickets to see this majestic castle in all its splendor. I was able to film the outside portions of the castle but limited footage inside. We even got to see some of the crown jewels featured in the castle. This was a must see and very popular stop so book tickets early!

Morning guys Sorry we seem to have missed this video Great video and you got to visit Midhope Castle (we never managed to visit here on our last trip ) We did manage to visit Falkland though which they used for Inverness. Big Outlander fans here too 😊 Looks great, so great that you got to visit ❤🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The views from The William Wallace monument were amazing. How big was that sword Edinburgh Castle looks stunning also. Thanks for sharing guys Have a fabulous weekend ❤
