Tour of the Isle of Skye Part 2!

Isle of Skye Day 2 was so magical as we experienced the 295ft waterfall of Kilt Rock (Mealt Falls). This waterfall was breathtaking and was the most famous in the UK. There was a legend that two giants fought in the sea and threw off their kilts as they fought and threw them on the cliff side and the cliffs resembled a kilt ever since.
We then journeyed to the Fairy Glens where fairies must exist in this magical glen. Over the thousands of years the Glens were formed from erosion creating numerous cone shaped hills. The red heather against the luscious green landscape was too perfect to be real. We climbed to the top of a giant rocky castle formation to get the best view and it was worth the climb.
We ended the day at the Isle of Skye Island museum where we had a history lesson of how many villagers survived even up to 1960.
Portree which is the capital of Isle of Skye was such a beautiful town and fishing village. Next time we visit we will be hoping for better weather to explore this beautiful town.

Thanks for sharing 😊 WOW looks very windy When we visited The Isle of Skye we saw Kilt Rock but no water was comimg over. They were doing works at the car park so we had to climb up an embankment to see it Looks like you had a great day even though the weather wasn't great Hope you are well and having a good week 😊 Morgs Jo and Boo 🐕 ❤
