Hello I'm Ryan and I am also a builder on minecraft. I would very much like to see how you are able to create a perfect gate. Gates on castles are one of the main centre peices so I would very much like to see how to make a nice looking gate and a good way to link it into a pre built wall. This is just my suggestion for the next episode but if you do see this I hope you make one. Thanks- Ryan

Mintyplays A good one, because gates are really special like you said. And I think there is a lot room for variety in designs.

Mintyplays I was going to say gatehouse, but in a way you already mentioned. Definitely would be nice to see how he goes about that feature; whether it is the gate itself or the house that surrounds the gate, if not both. Another thing I wouldn't mind seeing is a drawbridge or bridges... :)

Thanks for all the replies but I've just thought of one problem in particular. This problem is that most beginner builders seem to struggle with aspects of building a "detailed" scenario. For example: 1 a beginner will not know that the most important part about building a scenario is doing the terrain first, if you do structures first on a flat plain then the you force yourself to terraform around the structure which is not the right way to go about building 2 Allowing people to understand that connecting a structure to another is vital for success in a "detailed" build. I am no madness but during the amount of time that I've been building for(about a year) I've come to realise that there are only about 18-25% of people who actually understand the methods and practicalities of building. Again I'm no A+ builder but I think that people should be taught to understand this

Mintyplays True enough. I don't ever know how to explain it; not so well in articulation, but I try when asked.I just might be part of that small percentage. I may not build in the great detail that madnes does, but have similar way I go about building in itself. After all each sometimes mimics at first to get the hang of it and will sometimes deviate to form their own style or way of going about something. Tend to build with the terrain; as I go with each thing I do build. So having put out there simple tips & tricks, as well what to look for is a must for the new builder. And thank you for pointing out, as it is just something that comes naturally to me. To an extent. The main reason why it is sometimes difficult for at least myself to teach. Just glad their are people that go into specific details of a build.:)

Indeed, in minecraft I've found that there are two types of builders. Structure And terra former Experienced builders seem to have knowledge of how to do both, I'm not trying to brag or be like "hey I'm a good builder" but me and my build team mainly do terraforming then the rest of them start the structures in the other part of the team.

I'd love to see something like a dungeon, or jail. Lots of castle tutorials on KZbin, not one has dungeons. Maybe things like the inner bailey, or a curtain wall, or an inner wall (the curtain wall was usually quite plain to stop attackers from climbing it) Castle kitchen and gardens? A great hall/grand fireplace design?

I would really like to see a small tutorial on how to build the "keep" or the central building of a castle. It seems to be the most elusive part, never being able to look good

I think the next videos in this series should involve things such as: Gates Walls "Unique inside-the-walls buildings" (like barracks 'n' stuff) How to add things onto one another (how to connect walls and gates and things onto other walls and towers and things. This is only my opinion though and I just typed whatever came into my head so they may not be very good ideas. But I guess it's some inspiration.

Please do a tutorial on a nice path (quite steep) up to a castle on a mountain :-) New Thesarion looks a lot better, but you could maybe make the streets a bit narrower, so there is less space that is hard to decorate and looks more realistic i think

I'm not exactly sure what this part of a castle is called but it would be really cool to see a tower design used for messenger owls (Harry Potter Fan loll) or, to be more historically accurate, messenger pigeons! Thanks and I really hope you can start building again, especially on this series!

Maybe you could do a Let's Build with three different styles of houses, corresponding to the levels of the caste system. So like a Lord's house, knight's house, and where peasants would live.

I've watched you over the year and i must say, what an improvement every time i come back :) A lot of my building style originates from you and your tips, though I must say that I've gone a slightly different road, now, around 4 years after I found you I can see things that I would've done differently to make it look nicer (imo). Thanks for helping me up to your caliber and you definitely put work into your buildings, and the town as a whole. 2 Questions: A: Why dont you play on 1.74 and use something like Conquest, which would make this whole thing look better. B: You've visited a medieval city, so you know that the building dont usually have all the same roofing, also you are not a fan of symmetry, so why does every roof have same roofing material?
