Built my first castle joint. Took a lot longer than yours and isn't as clean but feeling pretty good about it. Thanks for the inspiration!

Did you just put a saw blade on a shaper, or is that some super-nifty table saw thingy? Regardless, glad to see someone is using the radial-arm saw in a production environment for the very fine tolerance cutting it's capable of.

Considering making castle joints to connect the beams on a redwood pergola. (California. Not a lot of rain, just a lot of direct sun) any thoughts on that? Good plan. Terrible?
