Fun Fact: this episode was storyboarded almost a year ago. It was the 3rd elden ring episode storyboarded (because this was where i was in the game at the time) We held off on it until now because we decided we wanted to make elden ring into one of our cartoon series. So this one is one of the originals! :D

All of the mobs before him are just to weaken you prior to getting into the boss arena, so the best strat is to sprint

This shit spits out a TON of damn magic missiles at you like a damn mortar, but the absolute worst part is listening to this fucking bell AND explosions. Deal with it FAST. Boss of this place who holds second half of the Disk that can allow you to open the way to Haligtree (which is even more terrible than this place) where you can fight Malenia. The strongest Boss in the game. It's suffering you have to get through for more suffering. Neat. 1:23 Yup. He can summon fucking spirits. But I wont say much about him besides this tip. Find, buy or make Bewitching Branch. This is going to make the Spirts attack Njall. Do that and skip the suffering. I HIGHLY recommend it. Fuck this boss. Fuck this Castle. Fun fact about this teleporting knight. There is a cliff a fair ways out of Castle Sol but you can still see the knight and get an arrow to reach him, at max range but he still can and WILL teleport to you if you shoot him from there. And won't deaggro. Ask me how I know.

One of the worst parts about those teleporting ghost knights is that the unaltered Banished Knight’s Chest armor is only farmable from 2 of them. You can’t find that piece anywhere else in the game. And it’s an _awesome piece!_

Ah, I just love it when enemies can smack me through the fog wall. It's happened enough that now in any FromSoftware game where the boss run involves enemies chasing me to the fog, I automatically roll forward once I'm through it just to avoid getting hit. The Abyss Watchers, Pontiff Sulyvahn, and Champion Gundyr all are like that in DS3; especially the Abyss Watchers. Got hit nearly every time I went through the fog and forgot to roll forwards once or twice.

There is a shortcut in castle sol that lets you skip all the exploding arrow crap. When you first get to the top of the ladder with the slugs at the bottom, face east, then jump onto those little bags in the corner and over the knee high wall, then you can just progress into the door and up the stairs towards the next grace.

Oh, I remember Commander Niall. I specifically remember smashing my head against the metaphorical brick wall for about a week before I beat him, learning that my computer monitor was more solidly constructed than my fist, giving up many a time to do slightly less unfair side quests in the hopes of levelling up, and many of the times I failed I remember thinking 'this guy isn't even the one this game is infamous for! Why am I so awful?' And yet, a year later, I oddly cherish said memories, and occasionally wonder if I ought to do it again.

Dude, Castle Sol screwed me up so bad I wasted an hour trying to do the jumping cheese strategy cause I thought I was never going to actually get to Niall to try to beat him. Eventually I was able to get to the Grace inside the church before the boss and thus was able to beat the mofo without many issues, but gdi it was freaking hard getting there.

The teleporting knight and Niall himself are the worst parts of Sol, everything else isn't too bad. The gauntlet run through the exploding arrows can be a bit tricky too, I suppose. But there's a good axe, a legendary weapon, and half of the Haligtree medallion so it's always worth going there! Great animation as always, love how accurate everything remains.
