I was a victim of habitual bullying throughout school and I endorse this message. UNTIL IT IS DONE. Also would agree with Pat that (at the least as far as I could tell anecdotally) my bullies did have fairly stable home lives and senses of self I was just weird and they thrived off the power/popularity they got from it.
@tylercafe1260
@tylercafe1260 4 жыл бұрын
As someone who bullied his entire class up until Middle School and I can safely say that .... everyone is a bully. I came from a fucked up house and was taught horrible examples on how to converse and react to human beings. Even if someone playfully teased me I taught to take that seriously and deal with it by threatening to fight them or even just sucker punching them. Since I was pretty naive and felt legitimately bad what I've done to people and lies I've spread I tried apologizing and that's when I realized everyone can be a bully. I made these two girls get into this drama thinking the other one hated them by forging a fake letter and slipping it into her desk. She opened her desk read the note and cried in the middle of class. After that they made up and realized the note was forged and then I overheard them and just admitted "Yeah that was me. I'm terribly sorry." to which they replied with a disgusted face "You? Pffft you're not smart enough to do that! We barely even hang out with you so it couldn't be you! As if..." I tried convincing them all day but all I was responded with was a cold shoulder not because they knew what I did and that I deserved it but because they never thought highly of me in the first place. They made themselves convinced it was some other kid and that was the end of that. But man that whole experience was eye opening. It's one of key moments where I started to try to be a better person because I realized not a lot of people even try in the first place. As I went on into higher grades I was now being bullied but oddly enough I was able to convince them to stop. Like no really I've made some young kids turn a new leaf by just being real with them. Most of my convincing was saying stuff like "You know if you wanted to... we could've been friends." "I don't know you." "Exactly, so why do you hate me?" and after long conversations they never talked to me again or even gave common kind gestures like holding a door for me or helping me with a test. Life is complicated and it really doesn't matter what home you come from because at the end of the day we all go at the same restaurants, schools, theaters, and events. What really matters is how that individual sees the world and interacts with it. Their home life is small stuff in the bigger picture because we're not always at home. Eventually we move out and become the person we choose to be.

@@tylercafe1260 Bravo. 👏🏻 I appreciate what you went through to learn the ropes in such a rough way, and I love that you even talked people out of the bad behavior. One is too few. Give them five. Five is a magical number. I don´t know what education is like in the US, but here in Spain, most stages in your education are less than four years. That means that unless a kid is very specifically keeping tabs on you, they don´t know exactly how many you´ve got left. It is a very "Are you feeling lucky, punk?" kind of situation.
@cgmaster2
@cgmaster2 4 жыл бұрын
Ok how about this You get one free and every five years you work as a teacher with no incidents you get another . So you can stack them so if you meet a super shit head down the road you can fucking muda them. And that incentivizes young people to become teachers early on to begin stacking them so they can cash out big later.

What pat says at 2:38 might sound crazy to some but its important to remember that commiting a crime because that crime happened to you does not make that crime legal. My therapist described it as "having been abused does not give you liscense to be an abuser". The unwillingness to walk away a better person is in itself a justification for said violence so those kids should absolutely be decked. Thier parents too

It doesn't sound crazy to me at all. They decided to take their anger out on a random innocent person instead of doing something about their own problems. Fuck 'em.

I like to describe it thusly: you have a kid (#1) that is dumb and throws a rock at another (kid #2) and it hurts that kid real bad he cries. If the hit kid (#2) goes on to hit kid number 3 knowing how bad it hurt he is worse than the kid (#1) who hit him. basically you know how much it hurts so you are the bigger piece of shit.

Really well made, loved it. Your videos are only getting better, honestly. I think you missed the reference at the end tho. "Mr Gracie" is most probably a reference to the Gracie Family, which is a family of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighters that not only invented the fighting style itself but are also the best BJJ fighters in the world. The visual gag of the teacher with the boxing gloves was hilarious, but in my mind the teacher was a huge brazilian guy with a kimono and a black belt entering class lol

I dont see anyone appreciating this readily in the comments so let me do it here. I super appreciate the shitty but also clear old school recording camera grain effect from the 90's during the bully kicking the kid saga. It's exactly to me the perfect level of expressing that era of our childhoods. That kid on the ground in another life was the N64 kid during Christmas.
