In this video I will go to castle’s website and confirm if my ESC is part of the defective batch or not! JUMP TO 17:50 to get to the point

C27255 C27711 C27954 These are the three LOT Numbers that you need to look out for. If your XLX2 ESC has either one of these three lot numbers labeled on the esc’s auxiliary cable as shown in this video, then you should send it to Castle and have them inspect it for misaligned busbars. IMO don’t even power it up! Just send it to Castle and if it is defective they will send you a working esc.

Hopefully it's not a paper weight like mine. Didn't catch fire but has no throttle. Yep I know how to hook stuff up and had the hobby shop double check. These ESC 'z are a gamble with your hard earned cash.

Yea I totally get what you mean… this esc did lose a power terminal but it was covered under warranty bcs I had the logs to prove it and the logs only had 10 minutes of run time and showed there was no “abusive” or wreckless operation. Honestly imo I never even reached 300 amps with the K5 setup soooo I don’t need a 500amp esc.. the MMX8 would push the 1:5 Kraton just like the xlx2 and not even with a cap pack. What did you decide to go with? The hobby wing?

@@toysforboysrc it all depends on how Castle handles this issue. I really like Castle and have everything from mamba micro to XLX2 but seems to have had weird stuff happens since I got my mm8s wich sometimes starts off really jittery and then it goes away and now the XLX2 that is a $400 paperweight. If they do me right I'll continue because they are fast but if I get jerked around I'll be trying some Hobbywing.
