I listened to this in 21st c London and suddenly I was an 8th C Goth in kilt and cloak with dagger, speaking early mediaeval High German, and the horrible boring guy next to me had just been despatcthed to the Dark-Finbul Underworld at dagger point. Actually they're german and singing in latin and an old german accent (Dialekt actually, that's the german word for it as each part of germany has a really specific type of talking. In bavaria it might be as hard as just one community talking like it)
