Late to the party but they explain in the pre-game description that John Morris is the son of Quincy Morris, who died fighting Dracula in the 1890’s. The events of that battle were the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s novel in the universe of Castlevania

I played this on the classic collection on pc, they give you quicksaves, and also i dunno but it looks kinda better.

This is my favorite Classicvania game. I preferred playing it over SC4 every time back in the 90s.

My biggest gripe with bloodlines is something no one ever brings up, so I’m beginning to think it’s just me 🤔 its the ever so slight delay between the input and your whip. Maybe there’s an extra frame in the animation or something, but it drives me insane and always takes me a couple stages to get used to. Like I have to whip a second before it feels like I should... just me? Ok. That said the game is gorgeous and the music... 👌 but yeah it’s a tough SOB to be sure.
