Knowing Konami they're never going to reverse the dumbass/hated decision of retconning Sonia out of the lore. Only hope now is if the Netflix Castlevania Sequel series/spinoff adapting Rondo of Blood does well enough that the show-runners consider doing a possible continuation series set after Castlevania S4 starring Sonia as the lead heroine since technically in the lore before getting retconned out of existence she was known as Christopher's mother the daughter of Trevor and Sypha. And yes I'm still salty about Konami retconning her out of existence.

@@jonathanbetenbender307 Because according to what reports says Iga back when him and Konami were on speaking terms was not a fan of of the game starring Sonia and personally insured it and her was retconned out of the series lore, which I will admit despite the fact he was the man who brought Castlevania into the modern era with the 1st "Metroidvania" title Symphony of the Night I will admit this was a stupid move on his part as this also led to him cancelling the Dreamcast Game starring her which sucked as the Dreamcast game starring her was said to have a post/mid-credits scene leading into Castlevania: The Adventure the game starring her son Christopher Belmont.

@@derrickhaggard IGA wasn't in charge of SOTN. He was just an assistant back then. He got his head full of it when he got in charge of the franchise and started doing some weird crap (including removing Sonia from the canon). Nowadays IGA has chilled out way too much with Bloodstained, but I remember reading that back in the day he was some sort of diva and it was kinda hard to work with him. And TBH I wouldn't be surprised if Konami decided to drop any professional ties with him because of that.

I remember this game ... it was created by a user called "PiscesDreams" the same one who created the fangame of "castlevania bloodletting" (another fangame full of bugs) It is assumed that besides sonia there would be another recolor character of trevor belmont but that he canceled it to make a horrible game called "ANATHEMA" that he never released. I did not know that there was a demo of this game

Are you sure about that?, the part near the completely unbalanced boss monster was so full of spawning enemies it slowed the framerate to a crawl.

Interesting how they took the first Belmont and made her into Simon's daughter. Could be a great crossover and explain how Juste Belmont in Harmony of Dissonance came to be. Perhaps Sonia from this fan game refused to give up the Belmont last name and had Juste train in the ways of the Vampire Killer too.

Actually, the first belmont was leon. Which the game came out on ps2 and took sonia out of the picture. However, she could still be Trevor's mother and could have still been cannon had they not tried using alucard.

But yes, I know Leon is the protagonist of Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, and that the game took place about 300 or so years before Dracula's Curse and explains how Dracula himself came to be.

There are many things wrong with this section. I am not an expert, but I am sure that much of the slowing down is due to the reflection of the sky in the water. That amount of moving particles is just too much. Additionally, the zombie exit and death animation adds more moving particles. Besides that it does not allow to see what is happening with the player. It is a beautiful Fangame. But it has a couple of points for improvement

Background and art wise it looks pretty good, music is ok at best, sfx are a hit and miss ( I wish the creator ditched the current Sonia voice and replaced it with Yoko or Charlotte idk ) stage design is I think the weakest part some parts are really janky and that includes the last part

Interesting, but you really shouldn't have jumps that tricky right off the bat in the game. Also, it really feels like whoever made this forgot to actually have enemies. There's a few here and there, but man those levels look empty.

The platforms should not hit your head when jumping. The top portion of the screen where it shows the life bar and weapons shouldn't be so big that it covers up candles/items that could be important. SOTN is the gold or GOAT standard that everyone is trying to copy.

Ironically, this looks & sounds like the basis of Castlevania Legends on Game Boy. If that’s the case, Sonia Belmont got knocked up by Alucard, and ended up with a son named Juste Belmont, who would not only inherit the powers of the Belmont Clan, but also the Supernatural Powers of Alucard, which would make him even stronger than any Belmont prior. The question is if Juste Belmont will be featured a lot more in the future.

I got hooked up with the intro but fell off as soon the boss stage with the zombies started, also animation frames count is very low for Sonia and the size of the sprites is too small, great attempt but it's lacking stuff still, hopefully dev polishes those few things for game to be playable.

The game glitches during the second part of the first level hen you get hit by a boulder...also, I wished the screen didn't jerk so much when walking. Even with a 3080ti card it does that. I thought they fixed these with the game?

I can tell the is far from being playable. The big skulls and the boss are over powered and the lag keeps you from dodging enemy's attacks. The big skulls should be 3 hp (3 hits) and the boss should take more damage. Yes, the boomerang range should be like in the castlevania games. A few more enemy's could be put in but you should be able also to build up allot of hearts to fight the bosses if you have a sub weapon.

Ok, this is real cool. I do own "Castlevania Legends" for the GameBoy and thought it was a good game. Sonia is alright with me. HELL, always love the Castlevania games, with "Castlevania II: Simon's Quest" being my favorite entry in the long running series.

The only thing than i see than need a redone/update is the sprite of Sonia, because looks very skinny and looks more like a swap from Maria Renard. And of course, fix the crashes, fix the jumps than need a master precision (or fix parts of the maps with plataforms).

Tá na cara que o programador é um amador! Os gráficos são bonitos e o tema interessante! Contudo, a primeira fase é muito longa e carece dos inimigos clássicos, senti falta de morcegos na torre! Os zumbis saindo de caixões foi um exagero, com tantos sprites pipocando na tela, isso causou lag que compremeteu a batalha com o chefão! Devia ter colocado-o num mapa isolado!

Easily a shining example of why I hate fan games, they always miss the entire point of the franchise. That opening is WAY too long, Sonia moves too slow, too much screen tearing, lag and slow down in a game where almost nothing is happening. There’s nothing original in this game either, everything is ripped right from another game and then forced into place here without understanding if it will work or does work
