This song is so beautiful and so perfect that it is hard to believe it came from a videogame. I still remember when I was 9, my grandma bought me Castlevania II: Simon's Quest for my NES, was my first game I ever had besides Mario Bros. I put the game, walked out to the first town and the first notes of Bloody Tears sounded, I couldn't believe what I was listening, from that moment on this song has been one of the most important tunes I've heard in my life
@chrisfineman127711 жыл бұрын
For 25 some years this song has been a staple of my musical ear. You sir have made a rendition that not only challenges the original but also has become my new favorite version of Bloody Tears. It is no longer a Horrible Night To Have Curse. Keep it up

If I had to guess, it's the loud slapping during the breakdowns. The song wouldve been perfect without those.

mmmh, it's pretty sweet and melodic. Should be in one of the classic games, adds a lot of identity and depth to the song. This version makes me feel like the Belmont(whichever one) is hearing every bloody tear that fell down from all his ancestors and feels their anguish and sadness at the superhuman task of beating Dracula. Good job. :)

@OrgodemirDQ7 Ahh, hard question. I play only by ear, I think it's very beneficial. The way I play just comes naturally. When I arrange, compose or improvise I basically just play the sounds I like in a rhythm I like.

You sir, are a Mirriam-Webster's and shining example of raw, unbridled, sometimes irritating (lol) talent -=- now one of the main reasons i am takin the time to write this all out ina comment is as follows: i am a musician myself, so ive been around or seen (videos included) a number of finger-pickers/fingerstylists during my time.... Your technique and self-specific style is none like ive ever seen before -=- its bloody epic man, keep kickin ass, takin names, and chewing bubblegum... Lol

This is pretty amazing. The version from the Netflix anime was played for badassery and befitting of an awesome action scene, while this rendition of the very same song sounds like our heroes barely survived and are making their subdued and exhausted way home, with the mournful tones of a victory at great cost. That’s the power of a strong melody, and that’s why NES chiptunes were so memorable.
