I like both games and they have some similarities since CoD and LoS happen in open ''worlds'' rather than happening inside a single castle, in day and night environments, forests, old cities and towers. Yet i can say for sure that Lords of Shadows fixes the awful, repetitive stage designs of CoD (something that was criticised in almost all reviews) and offers more platforming action, and the combat was more polished imo. People just hated it because it moved away from Iga's style, usual art and music for his games yet it wasn't a bad game.
