Actually, it shows his creativity with his soul use - even more than his previous incarnation, Dracula. While the Prince of Darkness pretty much just went with the Aria of Sorrow versions of Flame Demon, Giant Bat and Succubus for his whole career, but Soma mixed it up. In his first phase, he uses Gaibon, Great Axe Armor and possibly Paranoia. In his second phase, he uses Harpy, Larva and possibly Barbarricia, while also using Doppelganger to wield Abaddon at the same time.

I was years ago I played this, but for the Abaddon boss fight, I used to use Julius, and his sub weapons were great counters to the locust formations - for the ones where they attack horizontally, or the U formation, Holy Water can be used to destroy a large block of them, making jumping over or ducking the survivors easy, and for the Waterfall (horizontal then down) formation, you can throw an axe into the air then run beneath it for protection, it acts almost like an umbrella.

***** I don't really see the point of putting Hammer, if he was supposed to be on the game as Grant's replacement, he would have zooning (Probably with a handgun or machine gun) and wall cling, quite pointless when we have Alucard with his fireballs and super jump. Then again, Alucard is semi-overpowered on this mode once you start to jump cancel with his sword, which puts his melee game way above Julius'...

Never intended to finish bosses fast - more like I used the tactics I remembered from fighting them without damage. And yes, I used Yoko to heal few times when I thought the situation to be dangerous, but unlike save points, which restore full life instantly, this way takes time and it is not too useful when you fight agile/hard bosses which adds to overall challenge. Also because of this, I would not be able to use it often without prolonging walkthrough to the point of boring and unwatchable.

У Смерти я больше боялся первой формы - любит она в полете задеть. И на второй форме телепорт с ударом косой страшен: иногда босс может серию из 2-3 таких выпадов за один телепорт сделать и увернуться можно будет только дайвкиком, который у Йоко отсутствует. Так что был готов к этому, но такой подлянки от броска косы я не ожидал. ))) Просто не подумал, что Смерть может ее и на низкой высоте запустить.

This should really have been the canon ending, I think. As Soma and Dracula are one, it would make sense for him to become trapped in the same cycle of rebirth that kept forcing Dracula to come back even when he wanted to stay dead.

Нет. К счастью, записал я это с первого раза. Честно говоря, были мысли, если помру на кукловоде - опять отложить в долгий ящик (я за это уже пытался браться, но только маршрут другой был). Если б проиграл еще дальше - тем более отложил бы, т.к. учитывая количество попыток пробежать тот, или иной отрезок при тренировках - я четко осознавал, что No Death - малореальная задумка, особо если все эти отрезки сложить вместе. Больше всего боялся последних двух: Агуни->Паранойя->Смерть и Бездны.

It would be great if there was Mina mode where she went to Draculas Castle to meet Soma and almost die in doing so ........ But reaches Soma. Soma being shocked and happy but then felt sorrow as his girl would again die twice in front of his eyes because out of all the bullet , guardian and enchant soul , not even one had the power to heal her . And as a last resort he gave almost all of his power to save her but failed or so he thought ........ And so he loses his mind once again and power too .And it seems his friends had come to save him but it was too late....... As they proceed to kill him . Mina was devastated as she could not save her love which lead her to darkness and swore to steal all the soul in the world in hopes of finding a way to bring back Soma which would start in getting revenge by killing the three people who killed Soma............ Castelvania:Dusk of hatred

It doesn't have souls, menu, magic seals, shops, items, you can't change gear, but you have 3 characters instead of one, you can advance the game faster, it doesn't have alternate endings, and you fight another final boss.
