Actualy, you can fight the Flying Armor with Yoko, all you gotta do is reach any Warp Room and teleport yourself to the Lost Village, it's unlocked by default after all.

Actually, it's not the only way to do it. From the star one can go find Alucard, then enter wizardry lab from garden of madness, go to the room with an unlockable door and unlock it using the alucard special sword attack trick, and from there enter the lost village from Yoko's side. Yeah, sounds complicated, but that's how I did it :D

It wasnt damage, it was because he leveled up. His HP stayed at 252.
