It's a bug which got fixed.

@@micrard2753 the version i have downloaded seems to have that bug. I have version 8.6 and Julius cannot use subweapons for whatever reason while SCIV Simon can use it just fine.

It's the Cross, Julius has his own version of Grand Cross, instead of summoning Crucifixes to smack his enemies, he summons a giant cross made of holy flames - looking similar to Leon's Cross Spell called "Michael's Sword" symbolizing with a Cross that the Lord was the weapon of Michael when he fought Lucifer
