+Soundole VGM Covers think the key is in the EQ. I use an master EQ, reverb and compresor but also use EQ on each track to bring out elements . So a back ground mando will prob have more trebles whereas a lead mando will get a mid boost. Banjo gets a somewhat similar treatment shifted slightly to the high ends. I also use panning a lot and often double the lead and pan it 50% each way. That way I keep the harmony centered. I also sometimes double the bass if it need more presence. There's always prob twice as many tracks as shown on vid ;)

Huh, fascinating! I tend to use EQing to dampen some of the upper harmonics in EWI sounds to keep things dark and rich where possible, but it can make issues for clarity, obviously. Cheers for the info!
