The most terrifying part about legion is the fact that in the lore dracula never summoned him and not even the deamons know whare did it come from it just appeared and started consuming everybody including dracula minions So dracula just trapped it under his castle

Back when I first encountered Legion (Granfaloon) in Symphony of the Night as a kid, I described it as a "giant ball of screaming dead bodies" and realize now that it was probably the most metal phrase I had said in my entire life up to that point.

For personal matters I believe that Legion of the Castlevania franchise is one of the best recurring bosses ever. Even though Legion may not be as notorious as it's fellow masters Dracula and Death but Legion is still a major recurring boss to boot.

The whole series just gradually forgot that it was supposed to be based on horror movies in the iga era. By the time of portrait of ruin, its not even really dark its just kind of bog standard fantasy. I find it a little sad that the core fandom would rather see the sorrow games again than something that even tries to reflect what the series was meant to be about before the mid 00s.

I liked Legion in Aria of Sorrow. It may have been smaller, but it would follow you around stage and still did all its moves.

​@@dommoore6180Kinda liked the Portrait of Ruin version tho because its heavily implied that they are the residents of the Nation of Fools who suffered post WW1 used by Brauner to fuel the castle, but you remember that the Nation of Fools is in a painting it kinda waters it down a bit. Best versions for me is the Legion Saint and Corpse though. I genuinely found them creepy when I was a kid because of the screaming.

The version of this boss in the fangame Castlevania revamped is really cool and super unique. It takes the idea of having eyes from Aria of Sorrow and makes the boss way more terrifying by having it move around a lot more.

I simply LOVE Legion (saint) and Legion (corpse) and i really like thier design, especially the corpse version of legion, that thing is super creepy and i love it!

Legion corpse is just plain weird, scary and really hard to comprehend. Its boss arena is mysterious too and the rough GBA graphics add to the creepiness factor. Definitely a fine horror themed boss in a rather mild title. *I LOVE IT.*

That corpse that shows up when the boss opens up and it's moving it's head to the sides is almost like the the whole legion is suffering like crazy I can almost imagine it's screams and how it sounds.

I have always had a theory that a Nuculais is the end goal of a Legion; gathering countless souls to merge into a powerful being that is birthed in the core. Since Curse of Darkness' Legion was out of the way and optional, it had probably had the longest time to gestate, and the fact that it was forced out before it was finished developing (note the heart on the outside of the body) is about the only reason it was even beatable. Note also the Aria of Sorrow design in what appears to be a sort of embryo/fetus in a cage.

If we go by Legion's origin in the Bible he's a demonic being surrounded by the souls of the damned so it might just be that Dracula is using the souls of those condenmed to Hell as a "life source" to feed on Legion so that it may grow and develop before becoming the tall humanoid figure he is in Curse of Darkness. What a wasted opportunity for such a plotpoint in the Netflix series.

The core "screaming" whenever it's hit in HoD plus the fetus blinking in AoS means it's obviously alive, so the Nuculais is definitely at least already sentient. When the fetus is "killed", it turns into the shaking skeleton from the Corpse version. Makes me wonder if the Menace from DoS was a botched aborted form of Nuculais because of the boss room, the skeleton theme, and some of the backgrounds when fighting the legion seem to be portals to the Abyss

@@BrokenValentine-333 According to the Lore of Dawn of Sorrow Menace is simply "an amalgamation of souls" which merged together after Dmitrii Blinov failed to control them with his copied version of Soma's Power of Dominance leading to them bursting out of his body and becoming Menace. While the Castlevania wiki does point out the similarity of the final battle's arena with Legion's appeareance it still points out that Menace has a completley different origin when compared to the iconic demon from the Bible.

i mean, kinda its the hidden boss of that game so he hits like a truck, but it can be cheesed by using the death scythe, best weapon in the game that is also dark element(his weakness) of course its an ass to get this weapon, but its worth the time it takes also, most of the attacks are super easy to telegraph, and the arena is pretty big, so dodging is never a problem

Solo siento que deberian darle la habilidad de volver a cubrirse con los cuerpos que todavia tiene a su disposicion para proteger su nucleo para que la pelea no se sienta tan corta sinceramente y tambien modificando el terreno teniendo la oportunidad de poner un secreto en caso que use todos los cuerpos de la habitacion al fondo de todo halla como una habitacion secreta.
