Castlevania: Lord of Shadows Lore - Part 1 of 2

Loved the first and especially the second game. I loved the gameplay and the story. A lot of the old Castlevania fans might not like it but I never really played the old games because my family was kinda poor so I have no problem with it pretty much being a reboot or whatever.

You loved Lords of Shadow 2! That was my favorite of the three games! I loved the blend of past and modern levels and enemies. That game does not get enough love considering how clever it was. The classic Castlevania retro games are a lot of fun but sooo difficult. If you do play them you may want to just start with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as it is the easiest to adjust to. It's also considered by many as the greatest castlevania game of all time.

@@AuthoressPluto my brother actually found the game for me one day. He was like hey there's this bad ass looking game where you actually get to play as Dracula. I had no idea it was a Castlevania game because at the time I was recovering from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the leg (totally an accident but a story for another time lol) so I sent him in with the money and after I played LOS2 I had to get LOS1 still can't fucking beat it but damn near beat LOS2 on Prince of Darkness mode just couldn't get past the evil blood boss that kept fucking healing and I was out of items and out of patience lol. And in LOS1 there a big ass giant stone golem thing that I just can not kill no matter how many times I try, even with cheats I couldn't kill it.

Loved LoS and mirror of fate (beat both multiple times got 110% on LoS), but didnt care for LoS2. it felt unfinished and I straight up hated some of the elements like the Brutes that one shot you no matter how powerful you are (I'm the god damn prince of darkness!) But the Alucard DLC was pretty fun.

In all fairness, the Brotherhood of Light did cause all this because they kept using the Mirror of Fate as a go-to cheat sheet for the future. Unfortunately, this Mirror basically used them to get to those future fates because they were so eager to prevent it without knowing how. It’s kind of like misreading a prophecy and still getting the bad future without having a hero to fix the mess (think God of War).

13:45 okay I don't know if you guys missed this but apparently from what I looked up the souls used the magical energy that Zobek had gathered and was going to use to cast a very powerful spell to sacrifice the souls he had trapped from passing on to empower himself. That's how they were able to revive and empower Gabriel

Oh hell now you're doing Castlevania lore! I didn't think it was possible to love your channel even more than I already had! I adore the Lords of Shadow trilogy and hate that these games did not get the love that they deserve just because it is different than the original series lore. Personally I love both versions of Castlevania and wish more people hadn't been so angry about the changes to the story in the reboot. Btw, giant blood based pokeball is the perfect description for the Forgotten One's prison :D I'll be waiting anxiously for the next video!

We're so glad to give you more stuff to enjoy! Isaac also really adores this trilogy, we've both played a few of the others when time and circumstances allowed, but these three he was really able to sink his teeth into (haha), and yes, Blood Based Pokeball was beautiful, Tarren died laughing for a second. He was more human and tangeable as a character, compared to his depiction in Castlevania, I think he's much more developed in the video games, but he's much more relatable in the novel. I prefer Dracula in Castlevania, but I have a sweet spot for Dracula in the novel.

@@TrueMastersandMorons I mean, technically all of the Dracula’s (from the main timeline of games) are the same person. The N64 games kinda take place in the same universe, but much like the show, they aren’t canon (same is said for Legends and Circle of the Moon), but all of the Dracula’s are all same same person, save for Aria and Dawn of Sorrow due to Mathias Cronqvist finally being killed during the war of 1999. Again, the Netflix show is also completely separate from the game franchise as well, so their Dracula is likely a completely different person, mostly due to the fact that Warren Ellis was going to make Mathias Cronqvist one of the vampire generals instead of Dracula like he’s supposed to be, Konami stepped in and told him “no” and thus Godbrand was born.

Lords of shadow 1 was awesome The sequel burnt it to the ground Dracula was sooooo charismatic character but the gameplay and story destroyed his pptential Dracula needs to return for a new start with better game this time round

while i do enjoy his vampire powers and unholy weapons, the game could've done better like being able to take down the op Golgoth Guards and have him be much more powerful as shown in the debut trailer where he tears through batallions of Knights with ease..
