@@theworldender5703 That may have been a factor, but due to how extensively the Tree and the Well were corrupted, I've always assumed it started long before the events of the games. But maybe I'm wrong, and you're right; maybe Corruption slipped in while Azrael was distracted by betrayal and imprisonment. I hope that gets clarified in future games.

@@jelenneth tbh for me atleast i think corruption was fairly recent because of another vid about corruption and is targets the weak and because of the massive in flux of soul so i think that is when the corruption struck and consumed the well

The demons couldn't be comfortable with role of keeper of the well assigned to an angel I wonder what they controlled to balance it out

Well do remember that neither side had 100% access to the well or the power there of without help from the other. We learn in Darksiders 2 that each hold a Key to the well. We see Azrael as much more the scholar and understander of the well, more than a direct care taker of it. Isaac believes (no proof) That due to the fact that Death opened the door to the well in Darksiders 2 that it gave way to the Destroyer to walk through (with the help of Azreal) and take hold. In our mind kind of like Link opening the door of time in ocarina of time and then Gannon walking and saying "Welp this is mine now." Tarren says "pieces of the theory make sense but that there's not enough proof either way for me to declare a theory"

Well, if I am the creator, all of the creations either angels or demon or humans, are just pawns in the grand design lore called the darksiders 😂😂. Well we all know that the creator is the author of all.

Well done gentlemen, very nicely done. I'm not sure if you've considered the let's play idea I pitched in a previous video, but I'd like to know either way. I do know Neopets The Darkest Faerie can be hard to find, but it's well worth it in my book. It's actually not too shabby for a PS2 game. Though I'm not sure you guys even have a PS2.

It’s strange being an atheist and really love the Darksiders lore, I think it’s more enjoyable when you see it as fiction meaning religious story’s. Darksiders 2 got me back into gaming when I was around 25 and now their doing a third I’m so happy

That's like saying it's weird being a vegan but the smell of good cooking that has meat in it still smells good. You can enjoy something you don't believe in, Like you said possibly even more since you just see them as stories from the get go instead of something out of a religion you may or may not hold dear. ... The whole point is that we all died... you (usually) can't have that big a roll if you're dead. But we do see a few in Darksiders 2 (the master of blades ghost and the DLC hunter guy) and (potentially if what we've seen is accurate) some kind of roll in DS3

Well that's kinda the point the apocalypse wasn't meant to happen until the human race was fully developed or able to stand toe to toe with the angle and demon races but since they broke the seals early humans had no chance and in a span of 100 years they all got wiped out (the ones on Earth at least judging by the Darksiders 3 ending) but I get what you mean a human character that actually has a role in the story and isn't just cannon fodder would be nice but than again these beings are pretty much gods

I'm still confused about the well of soul's plotline. If I'm correct when Azrael was captured by the destoryer, who took charge of the well. During DS2 wiich is a prequel death found corruption had taken over the well. So my theory is. That death had freed humanity back to earth. This allowed Dark Abbadon. To seize control over the well. Meaning Death had just made it worse for Humanity. This eventually lead to the beginning of darksiders.

Death didnt start the events of darksiders 1 it was all a shrew to trick war. Death DID MAKE IT WORSE when he destroyed the corruption in the well, death thought if he got rid the corruption all would go according to plan but instead invoked the destroyer. Why the Crow Fathers soul sent him to Lost Light and even guided death in his own crow way to restore the ROD ON EARTH so atleast the angels can uncover all the corruption, chaos, betrayal and all the fuckery in between the 7 sins, the destroyer, Abbadon ( i thinks thats how you spell) and the remaining antagonists, both darksiders 1 & 2 take place exactly paralleled to eachother. (I hope darksiders 3 is like that) No way death would play his most beloved brother.

@Skyfather Productions: So, there's no indication that humanity has been reborn back into the cycle yet, like they're still in limbo with Death's dead soul at least up until the end of Darksiders 1. (We think). It is entirely possible that Death's opening of the door is what ultimately allowed Abaddon the Destroyer access to the well though. @Char Mass: To the best of our knowledge Darksider 1 & 2 aren't parallel, at least in terms of gameplay. Darksiders 1 tutorial level during the apocalypse starts up, War dies and sits for a 100 years, during that 100 years Darksiders 2 takes place, and then after that the rest of Darksiders 1 takes place.

We could definitely see a vague aesthetic similarity yes. Kind of like, if the symbols are languages, or runes, they'd be different words in the same language or runes from the same school of magic.
