It's a Yuzo Koshiro song, of course it sounds awesome on the Genesis hardware.

Dunno about the original but love this anyway! The Mega Drive does wonder with orchestral music which is funny since this shatters another stupid misconception about the system.

@@jc_dogen Well, there are contemporary drums and all but the track mainly revolves around organ as well as another instrument that I forgot the name yet (the one that starts @0:25 - edit: it's a (sort of) harpsichord as @Zzzzzx reminded me above) so it's "modern orchestral" :3
@ryzmaker116 жыл бұрын
@@knightshifter2201 Sadly not only as many magazines back then also talked shit about the MD sound. The Mega Drive has always been in a tough spot and somehow this makes it even more enjoyable to me since I always loved to dig underrated stuff.

Can someone contact Bloodlines' music people and show them this?
@zanegandini53506 жыл бұрын
Michiru Yamane actually composed both soundtracks, and while Yuzo Koshiro didn't have his hand in Castlevania Bloodlines, he did compose soundtracks for the system, so they would both very much appreciate this.
@ryzmaker116 жыл бұрын
@@zanegandini5350 Most certainly. And Bloodlines soundtrack is fantastic anyway. Now if there are Mega Drive soundtracks that needed tweaks, it would be the likes of Mortal Kombat 3/Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, The Lawnmower Man (this one only needs better snares but would make a huge difference) or Super Street Fighter II (which is not as bad as some people make it out to be but it's still rather lame).
@HP-qq3nn6 жыл бұрын
this would run on hardware, but in reality youd need a few channels for simultanious sound fx so this couldnt necessarily run with a game. still VERY cool!
@ryzmaker116 жыл бұрын
@@HP-qq3nn From what I've been told, Savaged Regime music could play alongside a game running i.e. with sound FX and all. Maybe some channels would cut while some sound FX play (just like it happens with some games on competiting hardwares at the time anyway) but not even sure, depends of how it's handled. Also the Mega DRive has the DAC that can play 1 but also multiple samples depending of the sound driver used (up to 4 samples at once) so there are always solutions.
