True I think it is why I think some people are turning against Theory because even in NXT and in the indies he wasn't the best guy out there he was just considered pretty good.The difference is when Cena was in developmental and then in his early career everyone was saying John Cena was the future and he should be the face of WWE.I like Theory but only time will tell if Theory will be the future.

that's because it's not his first 6 months.. he had been on the independent circuit for years, and to be completely fair callin it just like i see it, wwe picked the wrong 24 yr old to pluck up, AEWs was better. MJF>theory. Theory is still really good but he definitely needs his first name back, nobody wants a hypothesis to main event wrestlemania, it fails the name test.

Exactly this. Cena's been in the business for 20 years, of course Theory's not on his level. Doesn't mean WWE should give up on him. Quite the opposite, in fact, they need to really build his breed of new talent up. Here's hoping when the match comes around, they let him have a good showing instead of resorting to screwy finishes. Hell, they could keep the screwy finish, as long as they show through the match itself that Theory isn't just a little prick, and that he could really go when he has to

I wouldn't do Cena vs Theory at SummerSlam. if they think Theory is going to be a top star build it up for next year at WrestleMania in Hollywood. John Cena should be like who is Theory? he's a punk kid, Cena doesn't owe him the time of day. Theory keeps calling him out, trash talking, maybe even do something where Theory confronts John Cena at a red carpet event to finally get his attention to get him to return for a match.

With all due respect to Cena, he ain’t a mega star, never was. He was never on the level of Austin, Rock, Undertaker, Hogan, Flair, Shawn or Bret. He was great for his “era” but wasn’t the draw that those guys were. Don’t believe me, it’s documented. Cena never drew like Rock, Austin, or Hogan. Cena never captured the imagination of fans like those guys did. McMahon insulted those guys when he called Cena the biggest star in WWE history. Austin run was shorter, but wayyy more impactful and more profitable. Even JR, Prichard, Russo, who were in the know would say that. WWE doesn’t need the next Cena, they need the next Austin, then the talent around him like the attitude era
