I'm telling you, that's part of the greatness to Radiohead. They're always experimenting with new sounds. And no album sounds alike. And even crazier, they're all good! Don't let anyone tell you differently. Even some of those less popular albums you named, bet you add more than half of them to the Playlist. Keep going brotha! Love the videos

true love waits just hits so much harder after knowing what happend to his first wife. THe first 95 version is a kid falling in love and being joyous and faithful and the second is an old man losing his love betgging her not to go. Damn how time passes.

I cannot listen to True Love Waits particularly this version without tearing a bit. Its heart breaking, but yet has a glimpse of comfort while listening. I miss my ex. But thats ok. We’re all human. I miss her crazy kitten smile, but we departed ways forever. 😔 just for that stupid line, I will never be able to get over her. That was her single trade mark thing. (Her kitten smile)

A great Radiohead album is a 10, whereas a ‘weak’ one can still be an 8 (let’s ignore Pablo Honey). Does Hail to the Thief maybe have too many ideas? Sure, but Where I End and You Begin is my all time fav song. Does Amnesiac sometimes sound like Kid A b-sides? Sure, but who doesn’t want more Kid A? Is King of Limbs maybe a bit clinical and cold? Sure, but Lotus Flower might be their biggest banger, and Codex is perfection. It’s all worth it. Also, just found you and I’m loving what you’re doing. Keep it up!

Thanks for the shout my brother. This is Radiohead at their most mature and rich soundscape level after all that came before. "True Love Waits" has been around with Thom just playing alone on an acoustic guitar for 20 years and has been a treasure always - so much when I am fortunate to get married it will be my dedication song (less sadness in the original version) - worth listening to it is on their one live album studio release. Hail to the Thief has a lot of different ideas as they bridge the gap from Kid A and Amnesiac (you obviously know the highlight "Pyramid Song" but so much else to love) back to In Rainbows but while some may not get you for a long while there are many stupendous songs. As is true of Amnesiac. King of Limbs will make more sense to you as the bridge from In Rainbows to A Moon Shaped Pool. Their sound is so refined by 2016 this beautiful album s the result of master artists doing what they do as well as anyone or better. Pablo Honey is filled with 90s rock songs as they begin the long journey of their boundary expanding career so it gets the short end of the stick just due to the magnificence that followed. Then the best 12 B-Sides they have would be most major popular bands' best album. So plenty more to look forward to. You can tell Johnny Greenwood's ever growing proficiency as an orchestral composer (that is an understatement - he may well be the most sought after movie score composer in the film world at the moment) at play here with the near perfect strings throughout. I feel "Present Tense" is the best song - when you get a chance listen to the live video of Thom and Johnny and a drum machine playing it, directed by Radiohead affiliated Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood, The Master, etc - one of our generation's most amazing film maker who uses Johnny exclusively to score his movies). That rendition is unreal and might push this album up your list. When the same exact 5 guys literally almost never happens) stay and grow and improve together across 9 albums and 30 years, this album here is one of the results. There isn't a single bit out of place.

Perfect comment. A Moon Shaped Pool is 100% the band in complete mastery of who they are as musicians, an evolved and refined sound, the synthesis of everything they've done leading up to it. While I'm selfish and I would of course want more from the band, it's such a perfect album to close a career that I'd be glad if they never release anything else as Radiohead.

This is my favourite Radiohead album. A lot of their history is about constant experimentation, which produced some of the best albums of the last 30+ years, but in this album everything seems to just 'click' - like they're firing on all cylinders, they have complete mastery of their craft in every imaginable way, they've fully synthesised everything they have ever done. If True Love Waits is the swan song of the band, it truly is the perfect closer to the history of one of the all-time great bands.

True Love Waits is so full of yearning and sadness. I remember first hearing the live version on the "I Might Be Wrong" EP(?) and it was my own personal anthem for so long (high school). Then I heard this version, and my life is completely different now, and knowing the circumstances surrounding the inspiration/creation of this album (Rachel), that song is so crushing and beautiful.

This album is one of very few that has been my favorite album at a given time. It was My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, then Gorillaz - Demon Days, then Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head, then John Coltrane - Giant Steps, then Opeth - Pale Communion, then Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues, then this album, then Yoshiko Sai - Mangekyō, then Joanna Newsom - Ys later that same month, and now it's just all Joanna Newsom albums and some Ichiko Aoba ones. Idk it's too difficult to decide anymore. Anyways, it's a list stretching back almost 15 years to when I started to appreciate whole albums that includes at most 10 albums.

There might be songs that don't do well as standalone listens, but they contribute to the greatness of the whole of the album. Ask anyone who has listened to the entire Radiohead discography, and everyone will tell you that A Moon Shaped Pool is great, so I don't think it is being slept on. Honestly there is no real bad Radiohead album, even Pablo Honey is just a mediocre rock album, not bad. And the only bad thing you could say about HTTT is that it might be too long, but it's an amazing album still. Amnesiac is also extremely underrated.

OK Computer, Kid A, In Rainbows, Bends are definitely NOT where the "great" albums end. That's just where the "undeniable certified classics that are ranked as some of the best albums ever made" category ends LOL

@@onetakeonly3293 When you do react to the basement version it is far better than the studio effort the more organic sound really brings the album to life.

@@onetakeonly3293 yess, react to the kings of limbs live from basement, so much better for a first reaction and they play bsides who are IMO better than some songs on the album

@@onetakeonly3293 ngl The King of Limbs is HEAT. Easily the most slept on Radiohead album. Damn near every song is incredible. Their most rhythmically interesting album. Top 5 imo
