If you look at it chronologically, all the experience they gathered during those almost 30 years together comes together in this album, is like, in my opinion perfect, they really are masters of the craft.

Really is up there with their best this one. Main thing I take from this album...strings. Lots of lovely orchestration. And a reflective sadness on the passing of time, but also acceptance. It's quite a gentle album, but very subtle and emotionally very moving. Slow burner, really rewards repeated listening.

I was coming to say the same thing. TKOL doesn't get enough love, and i think it's a damn good album. Maybe not quite on the level of the big 3, but it certainly has a lot of moments and whole songs that could have been on any of those other albums. But it's JMO, dont shoot me! lol
@lk-musicАй бұрын
@@SR91313 Yeah some just think it's just sequenced loops and drum machines, but the live versions (especially From The Basement) show that no, these are legitimately intricate musical pieces... ...also Codex is just as beautiful as Nude or How To Disappear Completely, overlook TKOL and you are seriously missing out.
