Styling changes are limited to Lower front Air Intake and some minor changes on rear bumpers. Headlamps and Tail lamps get slight detailing changes. Changes to the Interiors are almost unnoticeable with just detailing changes.
The new 5-Series is available in 3 Engine Options- 520d, 525d and 530d. All of these are Diesel engines equipped variants, No Petrol engined 5-Series variants available for now.
3 Trim levels are available, Luxury Line, Modern Line and M Sport. Though not with all the engine options.
Prices start at INR 46,90,000 for the lowest 520d variants and stretch all the way up to INR 57,90,000 for the 530d variant, which is only available M Sport trim for now.
530d with 3.0 Litre in-line six cylinder Diesel develops 258 hp of power and 540 nm of peak torque. BMW claimed 0-100kph time is 5.8 Seconds, top speed is electronically limited at 250kph.
525d is the latest victim of the downsizing trend. It no longer comes with the 6 cylinder engine but gets a more powerful version of the 2.0 Litre in-line four cylinder Diesel. In 525d it develops 218 hp of power and 450 nm of peak torque. BMW claimed 0-100kph time is 6.9 Seconds, top speed is 243kph.
520d with 2.0 Litre in-line four cylinder Diesel develops 184 hp of power and 380 nm of peak torque. BMW claimed 0-100kph time is 7.9 Seconds, top speed is at 231kph.
Newly introduced Diesel variants in International markets in the BMW 5 Series lineup- Base 143hp, 518d and 351hp, 550d are not launched in India.
All 3 newly Launched variants continue to use ZF sourced 8 Speed Automatic transmissions, 525d and 530d get sport version of the transmission.
The facelifted car gets a new generation of BMW iDrive, the on-board driver information system. Harmon Kardon Sound system is standard equipment. In addition, 525d Luxury Plus and 530d M Sport also get BMW Apps and Navigation Professional GPS system with bigger 25.9cm color display, iDrive with touch controller, DVD drive and integrated hard drive for maps and audio files. Rear seat entertainment package with two 23.3cm Screens is only standard on 530d M Sport trim.
Adaptive LED headlamps and LED Foglamps are standard across the 5 Series range.

I’m in love with this type of informal ownership vlogs, what makes it all the more interesting and pleasurable is the fact that all these vlogs are done during the twilight hours with all the lights lit up adds a special vibe,also all these videos are made with your childhood friends add that unique,warm touch. My favourite video of yours remains to be the Honda City Hybrid vlog but that may be due to the fact that Siddharth is a diehard Honda fan and puts his money where his mouth is. Keep producing these vlogs. Lastly, I would like to say pre-loved luxury cars retailing at quarter of their original MRP make them very mouth-watering but do remember the parts and servicing costs still remain that of a car costing almost 3/4th of a crore, insurance,tyres and even regular running costs can’t be compared to say a 20lakh rupee run-of-the mill car. My elder brother uses a Merc Benz GLE Diesel and his annual regular service cost is 35,000 INR,parts are expensive and so are those thick tyres but that drive experience is literally class apart and once you get behind the wheel you just don’t feel like stop driving it. PS-The BMW 520d F10 of your friend has a 8speed ZF AT Torque Converter not DCT,one of the best torque converters around.

hi sunderdeep , heartfelt video , great content. the gearbox is not a dual clutch unit , it is a torque converter which sourced by biggest manufacturer of best gearboxes in the world known as Z.F , its a german company and its 8 speed ( 3rd gen) and currently we get the 5th gen iteration of this gearbox in our 520's and 530 d's all over the world.

Paaji agar apko koi luxury car mile jiska odometer 1.5lakh ya fir 2lakh km ke around ho, then you must do a review of it, especially about its maintenance. Are these cars that much reliable? Bcoz i see most of the luxury car owners drive these cars very less (i.e. around 8000-9000 km /year)
