A technique you may like for spirals... Tight spiral, place on top of a colander turned upside down, cut bands so the shirt drapes down over the dome, run some lines of dye down the sides - sort of an X, place ice cubes on top so water soaks down. The result is a sort of incline look but VERY interesting lines and smears. I love doing these and the splits are awesome too!
