This is possibly the most factually incorrect statement I've ever read today (and considering this is youtube that is saying quite a bit). Changing the drinking age came about by bribing the states and increasing dependency on federal taxpayer money. The 21 drinking age is required in order to receive federal taxpayer's money for roads. There has never been any proof that increasing the drinking age reduced teenage or underage drinking, if anything there is far more proof that preventing people from being able to drink only increases the want of acquiring alcohol (see prohibition).

The thing about the US is that we are so culturally different, and I don't just mean by migration and settling patterns. For example, in my home state of Iowa, you can purchase an Armalite rifle (AR-15) at 18 years of age, by yourself, with no wait period, but in Illinois, just across the river, you have a 3 day wait period and a background check (mostly due to drug and gang violence). Meanwhile, Wyoming is the naturalists paradise; wide open spaces with rolling hills and mountains and not two states away is California with urban metropolises and beaches. The US is huge, and we don't have a singular culture, but don't be caught saying that the US has no culture, just many smaller subtle ones.

To my right is the largest Latino community in the United States, Santa Ana where one could literally live without hearing English if one chose to. Some of the best Mexican food to be found here. There's a few things to be said for age limits. Sometimes they really help perspective, because the anticipation is that someone older is constantly advising caution; not, "figure it out, unless you do too much". The saying is "you're old enough to die for your country, you should be old enough".

While that may be, the entire reason the draft was passed into law was because they used the right to vote as a bargaining chip. The drinking age of 21 is an enticement for states to become dependent on federal taxpayer's money for roads, in other words if the age wasn't raised you couldn't receive federal taxpayer funds.

Most kids in the US drink before they are 21. At least when I was growing up. Usually at house party's or out in the country in the forest or a park. Some kids ended up having quite a few minor consumptions but that didn't stop us lol. I have no clue what they do nowadays. Smoke weed and take pills? Dunno? I grew up in Minnesota btw.

Disney is in Florida, and it's the place older Americans go to retire, this is why that guy saw so many mobility scooters, these people aren't lazy, they are disabled. Most Americans are not fat. And only use scooters if they are having trouble walking!! Someone needs to go to Canada and talk about them out of context. Geesh!

Sorry but no 12 year old should be drinking most of them haven’t even hit puberty.... you can’t legally buy a gun until you’re 18 and drinking age until 21. Growing up where I grew up the only reason to own a gun was for hunting during hunting season. Which you can’t tell me you haven’t learned since you were young...WTF does this video have has as credit..... visit the US and see what you see instead of what you see by this judgmental video.... judge by yourself not others. Just Saying!!!!!!

Your "giving up" comments came perilously close to arrogantly dismissive of people who are thrilled to have a mobility scooter that actually allows them a chance to live life beyond the four walls of their homes. Like me. I'm an obese person, and I've had dozens of comments about my weight being the source of my problems with mobility. The condition I have causes weight gain and extreme pain and numbness and weakness. Without the security of the scooter, i'd jut not leave my home, sometimes not even my bed. And yes, you did add on a bandaid of comments about those who actually "need" scooters, but you're judging people based on their weight, as being persons who've just given up. Bad form, guys.
@sunniertimer5983 жыл бұрын
It was the Canadian who was judging. Sorry to hear about your condition. I also have some issues. It seems there are many people now that find it conveinent to pick on Americans for their weight. There are heavy people everywhere in this world. America is such a great country that those who don't like it must find something to gripe about. Pretty lame though. I think office blokes try to be fair most of the time and I give them credit for that.

Why is Stella Artois so cheap and the butt of jokes over in the United Kingdom?? Here in the United States Stella Artois considered a posh/Fancy beer and it's about $10 a six pack or about $5 a bottle if you go to a bar. But then again y'all are close to Belgium and we're far away. 😂😁🍺

USA is a strange,curious and a large mix of deverse life styles. But through my eyes I don't understand the aggressive behaviors against ourselves and lack effort for more understanding of one another on a larger scale. To hate and blame is a tactic of corrupt in power. It hinders progress. We shouldn't be short sided. We are more than that. We need to focus on our u r children. Once we get bizarre corruption under check then we can be the great nation that could lead by example. To respect not discriminate. Our differences between us is one reason we're unique. We can't change history but we can learn to not repeat mistakes. We are beautiful,strong ,wise and a place to be. If we could only realize it. One thing for sure we are quirky and odd. I love it.

Let me guess, you're not from the south, but you've seen it on TV? I've found white people in the south to be more tolerant than white people in other places, because the percentage of the population that is black is greater in the south. Take cities like Atlanta or Richmond, which are predominantly black. You're saying those black people don't want to be free? What south are you talking about?

I normally find the “American here! just wanted to say...” a little cringe, sorry my American peers who comment that all the time 😂 But I did just want to say that drinking isn’t illegal under 21. Generally you can drink at whatever age you like in your own home. It’s not illegal for say, a 12yr old to drink at home at dinner or something. It’s only illegal in public really. But in the home it’s normally legal. Of course this varies state by state 😂, im speaking from a Maryland perspective.
