I put heavy weatherstripping back there on my 289 and pipe insulation around the cab seal. Foam gutter inserts work well too

We have a 2012 cat 299, don't grease the quick connect latches/pins the grease attracts dirt and the pins will not go up and down after awhile. Just spray them with a lubricant at the end of the day. Just my experience.

I will keep an eye on them and see what works best for my application.
