Got that right !! That solid rockground is not so easy to dig out, and the operator was doing the best he can. You can see that by how the machine reacts. That same guy came tell me ones i need to get a Link-Belt. Well im really happy whit the Hitachi my boss give me ! Im operating that machine 4 yersnow whit reall satisfaction.... LOL.

Oh yeah! Anytime you are dealing with digging rock, you have to find that best approach where it will fracture and thats exactly what this guy was doing. Haha I will always take a hitachi over a stink belt

@dieselpower1133 the 5110 is a lot bigger than a 350l between the two theres a 365 375 and 385. a 350l is big but not that big. the 5110 is used on jobs requires a mass excavator.

Lucky for us we dont have rocks here in Holland-Europe. But i've doug up lotts off old foundation's and treestumps. When the bucket doesn't wanne go in the way you had planned it, you have to find a spot were it will go and thats the tricky part that only excpirienced guys can find. I'll send you one off my vids ok ? Sorry for the spelling, had my last english class 30+ years ago....

Hitachi rules in the globe, right in there with Caterpillar. I am glad to see your videos of your wheeled excavator, don't see those much here. That Coremans outfit knows what stays running and what makes money, I have seen their website, top calibre company. I think they would know a bit more on gear rather than a rather smelly-looking adolescent in America digging in his parents' backyard with a friends' crappy old mini-excavator.

Short stick on the boom, rock penetrating bucket teeth, hard abrasive compacted material takes a fair bit of breakout force. Slow tough going, it can be very tedious work, mind numbing work, we often used to swop operates over with each other. Just to give the guys a break, it can drive you daft tearing out stuff like that. Often ran the ripper along the cut out zone to speed break out.

773 seems small in videos and may be due to the excavator size. it is actually huge!

I think that material there is really hard to break out, solid compacted large gravel, I find it the worst of all to get through.
@sirlandsalot6 жыл бұрын
Smiddy Man I worked in an open pit coal mine in a 390, Sometimes the blast was not enough, I think they cheaped out on dynamite because we where contracting to them. it was excruciating, hard pure rock way down in the mountain. you would be almost insane after 12 hours with haul trucks rolling at you all night!

@gangesexcavating Link Belt makes a reasonably priced economical excavator that can give JD/CAT a run for their money. However, the cabs in my opinion suck something fierce. Aside from that the two we bought at action have been good to us and have made us quite a but of money compared to the CATs we have. That being said old I was running it and had my pick the JD would get my vote having never been in a hitachi younger than myself.....

He really isnt doing that much harm, how else do you expect him to punch through that tough rock to get a bite? It even could be just the machine and how its hydraulics react, gotta realize its not the newest of the new excavators anymore

That 350 your talking about weights about 50 tons. (The last 2 numbers) This being a 5110 means it weight is about 110 tons. You see ? They go all the way up to 800 tons for the biggest one off them all. For excavators that is. Draglines and spades grow even bigger. Some off them weight copple off 1000 tons own body weight. Just type in Big George in here on YT.....

Mean machine!
@Dirtsmith12 жыл бұрын
@tarheellax92 You are correct, it's not a new machine, which is why the operator shouldn't be slamming his bucket into the ground. line boring is expensive as hell when you add in downtime and disassembly on a large machine like that. I understand needing to get the job done but being hard on old machines is detrimental to your bosses and ultimately your wallet.

Well you know everybody has an opinion here and all think there good operators eh !! LOL. Until they excualley get into the machine. Well i think in my 25 years i've been in the bisnis i've seen about 5 LInk-Belts Liftingcranes here in Holland but never a digger so.... And the boss desides what they gonnne buy for there money. In ower company there's no influens off the operator. So i was really happy when they told me they had bought a Hitachi 170w for me !!
