Cat and Hovawart dog

Yes...I suppose that "derpy" is as good of a description of a Hovawart's temperament as any. I happen to have a Hovawart, a huge one (130 pounds now) called Harry. His huge size belies his gentle personality. Harry loves everyone (particularly ladies). I found him at a local shelter where I used to volunteer. Hovies are rare dogs in the US. It took me 3 months just to figure out that he wasn't some sort of overstuffed mutt (we initially guessed he might be a Newfie/Rottweiler mix of some sort). Harry had been in and out of the shelter a couple of times. I adopted him about three years ago and wouldn't give him up for anything. He's my constant companion and gets along great with my other three dogs (and one cat).

Mine was a coonhound mix and she had two moods gentle and territorial. She was nice to those she knew but not strangers, she attacked everything that we didn't introduce her to but if we invited someone she would be ok with it.

Yep i have one its still in pubertiy and extremely playful but also a bit disobedient at timrs
