Beautiful work. I'm fairly new to soft pastels. I'd like to buy a set, but they are incredibly expensive. I could swing the cost of buying a 90 stick set, but it could take years before I use some of the colors up since I only dabble in this a few days a week. Do these dry out or wither away if they aren't used up in a certain amount of time? So while I would like to have a wide range of shades available, I don't want to end up throwing them out in the end.

HI Jeff, pastels if kept in a dry place will not deteriorate over time. I've had some of my pastels for many years. Also I would say that if you buy good quality and later change your mind, you will be able to sell them on 2nd hand. Whether they're broken and used or not, they are in high demand!
