Hi, Ron. Great to see another review from you. Tahnk you. Been a while since we worked together at the brick yard de-silting. Hope all is still well in your world. I am currently working in California on a ranch helping to establsih a working vintage machinery museum where people cam come out, have a look at the machines and, if they so desire, take 'em out under supervision and play with them. The owner also wants to have year 11-12 high school students come out to look at career options - about seven options here on the ranch - and set it up to help rehabilitate service veterans. Among other 'toys', we have a Cat D9T dozer, a Cat 637D scraper, a Cat 660A scraper, a JD 772CH grader and a Cat 966C 4wd loader, all good machines to operate. Just my 0.02. You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hi Mate, CAT is good, but I would beg to differ on your comment as to CAT being the best... We've run CAT 8' & 9's for a long time on our farm, now we've changed to Komatsu 355's and I would say they are as good as CAT. Stay safe...

I retired from 30 years in the mining industry, operating and supervising. We used D8s, D9s, D10s and D11s and I have to disagree with you. We tried out Komatsu up to and including the 575. Komatsu isn't as operator friendly as a Cat and wasn't as cost effective as a Cat for us in the long term. Here in West Virginia you could have any part you needed for a Cat in just a few hours but not always the same for a Komatsu. Komatsu tractors are ok but they're not a Cat. By the way, when I said a Cat was more operator friendly I was speaking of the N series up.
