+David LeBlanc if she had no interest in playing, she would beat the skin off that cat. She _was_ playing. I've raised chickens for years and I know how they play. Adults don't normally do it with other chickens, but with other species, interestingly, they often revert to juvenile behaviour (including play) like this.

As a person with chickens and adult cats I can tell you.. Cats generally don't want to piss chickens off; chickens only have to worry about large preditory animals like dogs. Chickens are a small preditory animal, they do what cats do.. kill and eat mice, rats and anything else small enough to fit in their mouths..

It's unusual but not funny, the kitten was playful but the hen was no match, the hen could have been killed or badly injured by the cat's claws And could also have died From shock. The person videoing this should have chased the kitten away. This is cruelty.

If you have roosters keep them away from the cats especially when your hens baby chicks were just recently hatched cuz an angry adult rooster is no joke and they hate cats allot especially the teen age rooster cuz some times they even try the rape the cats the teen ones are some honey bastards though it's a good thing for me cuz there's random cats at where I live and I'm kinda glad my roosters beat the crap out of them when they see one in their territory
