Cat Eye Front Clip Conversion On My 2000 Silverado!

i got a 2000 bubble eye, did the cateye front end clip right on?

Having a really hard time aligning my fenders on my 01 with cateye ones, did you use any other bolts or spacers? Or was it all the same ones used?

Sorry for the late response! I reused all of the hardware from my truck, except for the actual bumper mount bolts. I only struggled with installing the hood as it was damaged from the donor truck. I'm curious if your truck had some damage from a previous accident maybe?

my 2500HD got stolen from the junkyard parking lot and it was the worst feeling coming out of the yard with a bunch of parts I bought for that truck to see it was gone. I got lucky after being depressed as hell for like 3 days I was contacted that my truck was recovered. Thought it was gonna be smashed to bits but the only damage was not having a spare tire, broken ignition cylinder, and they stole everything in the cab including my trailer brake controller but that was it.After having that shit happen to me I'm constantly paranoid about it now.

@autumnjeserich2689 Oh man I know the sinking feeling in the heart you probably felt. I'm really sorry to hear that but I'm glad you got it back. Atleast they were kind enough to not destroy it completely haha.

Yeah the feeling of knowing it was stolen the second you realize its not there but in denial I tried to convince myself I parked in a different lot. Since recovering it I got plates behind the doorhandles that make it at least much more difficult to pry the door handles off of and they also support the lock cylinder so it can't just be punched in. Combined with my steering wheel club haven't had another break in or theft and hoping that trend continues.

Do I have to weld the bumper mounts ?

I'd strongly recommend it, I can't even think of another way to do it that wouldn't be too sketchy.
