After my cat litterally rolled around in shit, I wanted to give her a bath. She's usually the sweetest so I tought everything would be fine... Boy was I wrong... With only half of her body wet, she turned around and sank her teeth very deep in my forearm, right in the big tendon in the middle of the forearm. After that I figured it would be easier to clean my entire appartment than to clean the cat...

I've bathed a giant fully clawed kitty. He was a giant ginger ppl called Lion or The Devil.. I know how dangerous he could be out of the water lol... NO matter how big they are... Their meows always make me feel SO BAD. He had to be washed after getting loose outside. He was territorial and the stray cats made him upset so he'd take a random chance at breaking free & he had a few successes. So once he'd come home... I'd wash and inspect him for any injuries and fleas/ticks. He didn't mind the towel but would roll all over the carpet -_-. I don't know how I managed to not get mangled .. but I won't question my luck. (He'd attack us from being overstimulated by us & strays would set him off).

My cat thinks im trying to drown him so when I give him a bath I have to use the sink sprayer very sparingly. He jumps around and screams when the water is turned on. He had flea dirt though so needed another bath. But since the soap needs like 10 minutes to work I had to keep him in the sink...he broke some stuff that was at the sink window.

I hold em by the scruff and use water from the sink, avoiding their face, starting with the arms and legs,little by little. That way they don't have a chance to go bat shit crazy..if I put them in a bathtub or shower their face they go absolutely crazy

They panic enough to bite and they can still bite right through even welding gloves. They are useful to prevent scratches but if you have a biter the best that can be said about welding gloves is that at least they can't bite you gum deep.

I have a cat that is weak in the back end from a compressed spine who is also totally incontinent. He needs to get a bath at least once a week or he gets very sore and ends up with an infection I try so hard to keep them clean but it's not easy and he cannot reach himself. But he acts like this cat it bath time. He makes it very difficult any does some damage to my arms every time.

I found what works the best is to get a plastic tote appropriate to the size of the cat. Drill large holes in the sides and bottom for drainage. Do the same with the lid. Fill the bath tub with warm water. Place the cat inside the tote and apply the lid. Squirt in some kitty shampoo and thoroughly wet the cat with the shower head. Now quickly but gently swish the tote side to side in the tub. Rinse the cat with the shower head. Repeat the swishing and rinsing until the cat is clean and blow-dry. If you don't have a shower head with a hose you can use the faucet in the tub. No worries about getting scratched to hell, fighting with the cat or having it escape and track water all over the bathroom.
