I am watching this after losing my cat Bums tonight. She did not eat yesterday for 24 hrs and this morning I took her to the vet. She was given IV drip and I decided to confine her to the vet. I blame myself for not taking her home as she spent her last hours at the vet but then I myself do not have any idea how to better her situation. I feel sad as I wrap her for her burial later morning. She was crying at the vet maybe looking for someone familiar or because she is in so much pain : < I will never forget my Bums ( a tortie cat, 7 months, female). i hope i can still save my other 4 cats. Neither of my two cats had any superinfections. The female got an abscess at the injection point on her back and that is why she received antibiotics. Before they were treated with neupogen, they underwent a course of equine imnunoglobulin treatment, which was not sufficient. Lots of love to you and your cat! ❤

Equine Immunoglobulin means the anti rabies shot?? I googled it showing only Equine Rabies Immunoglobulin. Due to lack of veterinary labs we are not sure if it is Panleukopenia or Parvo or anything else. I don't understand what should I do. I am there trying to show affection and supporting, giving Saline and meds. I had force fed them pasted egg white in the morning.. Should I keep on doing that?

miss k, I just wanted to leave you a huge thank you because your video helped me save 3 foster kittens last year. they were all infected at 5 weeks old (too young to receive the vaccine) and were given a 10% chance of survival from the veterinarian. using the advice from your video, i gave the kittens intensive care for ~2 weeks, and all 3 survived and are now happily adopted. it was an incredible learning experience and i feel so much joy when looking at pictures of them now, all grown up. thank you.

Last year I lost my male cat guzguz due to this parvo virus..but we were able to save his sister fizzy. We treated her at home it took 5-6 days for her to survive. We gave her the antibiotic *ondem* which prevents the diarrhoea and then started force feeding her with syringe. It was difficult for the 1st days but she started recovering. And at the 5 th day she started eating and drinking herself. This year my favorite cat is again infected by this .we started his treatment like the process i mentioned hope he survives..😢

Lost my adopted 2 months old cute ginger kitten to parvo yesterday. Just had him for 4 days. His symptoms started showing the very next day. Wish I saw this tips before I lost the 3 kittens including their mom. The last one survived almost 10days. He already started recovering, but we choose to bring him to the vet for fast recovery 😢 he already started eating after 2days from the vet but he still expired under their care :( . I’ve been battling this kind of decease since last 2years I recued cats which are injured, malnourished etc. the only solution is to hydrate. Forced your cat to drink I used 1ml syringe cause it’s smaller. I found out that this kind of disease is taking out your cats fluid, from vomiting, eye discharge to diarrhea. As long as they’re not dehydrated, they can surely survive. But sometimes with disabilities. Like, can’t control their movements (muscle paralysis), squint eye.

Lost two babies in a span of a few days from each other. $3k later and one hospitalized, we still lost them. One kitten got over the fever so I hope she’ll be okay. My other cat Tony just died and it hurt me so much that when my surviving cat Coffee got sick I decided to get him admitted. I won't be able to take it if he dies too. The vet said he's doing okay now and not vomiting anymore but his treatment is just about to start. I have 2 cats both adults & about 1/2 weeks ago I seen a lady giving free kittens away down the street from my house. I wanted to add a new baby to the family. But the lady told me they are buddies and if I could take them together. So of course I said yes and took both the kittens. Both boys from what I seen. They where fine for the first 7 days. I thought kittens slept a lot naturally. But one day me & my daughter wake up (1 hr before the kitten was sleeping with me fine) and one of them are sleeping in his litter box my husband picks him up and he’s in his own diarrhea crying he couldn’t walk and when he tried he was wobbly and would fall on his side. I tried to rush him to the vet but he passed before I could get him there I paid for them to cremate him & they kept his asses on 11/21/23 😭 then his brother the second kitten was fine, but 4 days after his brother passed so did he. His health started declining after 2 days since his brother passed. At first he was pooping solid and was eating still. But he slowly started declining. I had to syringe feed him at one point and keep his fever down . On 11/25/23 I found him laying in his own poop like his brother I rushed him to the er vet and they told me it’s more than likely he won’t survive and it’s inhumane to keep him suffering. I made the decision to have him euthanized and they released his body to me. I’m not sure if it was parvo or what but this video looks alot like what my babies where doing and looked like. I hope to god it isn’t parvo because I have 2 adult cats and a greatdane one cat and the greatdane are vaccinated but not one of the cats. I can’t lose more babies the loss of the newest kittens has taken such a toll on me it sucks I couldn’t handle this again. I tried my very hardest for them to make it. We always feel we could’ve done more. I am making appointments for my adult cats and dog tho to be safe and make sure this doesn’t happen to them. It is definitely a unfair situation.

My kitty is 5months old.vaccinated her shots and booster too. Still she got infected. I went to vet on the 1st day of vomiting and diarrhea. She didn't get it because her WBC was normal on blood report. Then on 3rd day she again did a blood test where her WBC was too low. After 4th day evening my cat was meowing after so long.Did not vomit.vomitting and diarrhea stopped.but again in the morning she was dull. On 5th day i went to another vet. He did all the test and confirmed that it's Parvo along with another two virus. Started extensive treatment. On 6th day ,she was dull ,got her treatment. Temperature was little down to 103. sleeping all day despite of the treatment.she went to her food bowl , lick a very little juice of chicken gravy jelly food. And she is sleeping. Let's see what happened tomorrow.

@@Mana94x keep her hyderated. On time antibiotics IV n fluids are the only way out. Virus easily stay on clothes. Make sure when u feeding them o being with them. U r wearing something disposable. All we have to wait is for the virus to flush out from intestine. Regular butt baths n change of litter after every pooop is imp. I hope this helps.

@@justbb1415 aww, if they are vomiting and not eating... it's worrisome. Even though they would hate it, try forcefeeding them with a syringe as I explained! Even just a little bit. Hope you can get to the vet. I find antiemetic super important so they could eat. Hope they would be okay 🥺

@@justbb1415 if you they really have virus...do not give them their normal food like boiled chicken or chicken broth or anything you give them in normal routine they might get diarhea from it and with diarhea it becomes extrelmely difficult to save them....jut keep giving them ORS if you have at home ..you can easily buy that anywhere untill you see the vet....do not give them anything to eat it can worsen the situation.my 3 kitten died because my vets did not know what was the problem and they kept saying me give them chicken broth...android the moment i gave them they got diarhea and there was no way to save them then...and at the end vet told me the kittens had panleukopenia...their stomach did not have the ability to digest it.

In my case, I gave him by myself (I got advices from cat community on facebook). I used oresol and glucose which used for intravenous infusion to rehydrate and feed him. Both of these can be purchased at my local pharmacy (idk if your local pharmacy allows to give such medicine without doctor's prescription, but just try). Remember to mix oresol very dilute with water, if you mix it thickly, your cat may vomit. Use a 5ml syringe to pump into your cat's mouth every 1,5-2 hours and absolutely do not give food because the cat's intestine in this situation is very weak and cannot digest. If there is Inkat that support the immune system in vet store (this is Japanese product), buy it and mix it with oresol/glucose, it can be really helpful for your cat. Hope your cat will be better soon!!

Hi Miss K, how long did it take before your cats fully recovered from parvo? And how did you know that they were already okay? My rescued kitten got parvo and he was recently discharged after 10 days of confinement. He’s currently under cage rest, but I’m still so worried for him. On the night he got discharged, he vomited and had diarrhea. Now, he still has soft stool, but he’s eating well. I’m still really scared :(

Help!...when I force feed my cat or give him water he just vomits... He is drinking water by himself... The vet gave him drip...but what else can I do to help him...shall I force feed him? Also, My another cat is vaccinated and 2yrs old...is she at a risk of catching the virus?

I think you need to have him get antiemetic shot like I mentioned! Then forcefeed him. Sorry just checked the comment, hope he's OK. If she's vaccinated I think she's probably safe but observe her well :) (all my advices is just from my limited experience though, so just FYI)

A stray kitten which usually visits us is suffering from parvo . She's pregnent and near to delivery. She's been drooling since three days and it smells bad. My three kitten died due to this virus, and three big cats are showing symptoms but they are eating foods by now.. Should I give them antibiotics injection also? Here in my area vet are very much unsuccessful to save their lives... They are just providing negative thoughts like no use of treatment, they are not surviving from this virus... Still we are trying.. Can you please help me by sharing what you have done, how did you take care of them... It's really urgent

If they are eating on their own without vomiting, I think they will survive!! Just observe them well and make sure they eat well. If they have diarrhea, it might be a good idea to give them antibiotics or appropriate medication- what symptoms do they have??

@@CatLadyMissK I have seen blood in one cat's stool... And primary symptoms of diarrhea.. And one cat is not eating properly... Seems very much tired, and they all are coughing .. And they were in contact with the infected ones

@@khazimacira7314 two of them are better now but one cat is not eating anything since two days, vet is giving them antibiotics doses, and ask me not to forcefully feed her anything, when she will feel better she will eat by her own, so a little bit tensed for her right now

I hvaw lovely 16cats . And they got virus called parvo from another cat from otuside. 4 died in just 2 days. Fkkkk parvo .
