I have been wanting to make some of these for my cats since I watched your first video, about 6 months ago. I've been so busy I haven't gotten around to it but I'm putting it on my list now. After I finish with my laundry room, the cats are next. BTW, I love that corner shelf by the window, I bet your cats love it too.

I made similar posts for my cat. One suggestion that i did, i found a hole saw that made nice pucks that fit inside the pipe for both ends. Just make sure to cut the pucks from a hardwood as opposed to pine.

i know this video is a bit old now, but i have a question if you have time! We just bought a home, and i'm planning to make a whole cat room with these hammocks and perches! It looked like the PVC pipe diameter was 2", do you feel like that is plenty of space for the cats to get around with easily? We are planning to get a pipe cutter (The ratchet ones) and most of them go to 2 1/2 but not more; We're just worried that the cats won't have enough space to climb up them. we're planning to probably get 2 1/2 diameter, but i guess it depends what is available at the time. I would use denim, canvas or a heavy duty flannel. The main thing is that the fabric does not stretch at all so it doesn’t sag too much.

I'm not a sewer so I looked on the web and found on Amazon some pre-made hammock beds that look like the ones Aaron has for his cats. Very good price also, $5 for a hammock.
