I’ve never seen this before in cats. Very saddening. Poor lil’ bubba. It looks like kitty made a full recovery. I hope kitty is a happy, thriving adult cat now.

For those who are wondering, cats having seizures can't always have emergency medicine applied to them. They are not human; their physiology and nervous system is different. If the vet advises that they are better off left to tire out, then follow that. Those medicines for seizures - the anticonvulsants - are not without problems of their own. For one, withdrawal can be very nasty.

Yes true my cat was put on an anti seizure medication called Gabapentin and the side effects were dreadful including loss of use of his back legs I weaned him off it under the supervision of the vet! He not on anything now, and as he only has a seizure about once every 7 weeks I don’t think it was worth the bad side effects!

@@CarolynAitken-yp2rq Yeah... most of the medicines for seizures are actually muscle relaxants or just outright sedatives. Expect loss of motor function, since the majority of treatments for seizures involve the shutdown of the misfiring muscles.

@@HAIFRAF I am! And the cat is much better aswell, we found out that he had a brain infection, and calcium defficiency. The brain infection is gone, but the calcium defficiency is still there. He's on medicine currently, and he's almost in perfect condition. Thanks for your reply!

We have. Kitten with seizures. They started at 8 weeks. He doesn't urinate or defecate with them Nymore just lots of drooling and then he wanders around meowing and demanding to be pet and snuggled. Start to finish, including demanding love. 10 minutes. The actual seizure is 1 min or so.

Who knows? It could be idiopathic epilepsy, i.e. no cause that can be discerned with current methods.

Are you crazy? When seizure occurs no one can stop em.. Or even try to stop it could muscle tear and further damage.. Even in case of humans.. When any creature has seizure.. They should not be stopped from moving.. Noone should try to forcefully stop a seizure...

Mmm tell the vet if you can make arrangements for treatment and a payment plan it does no harm to ask just dont take advantge of peaplos trust i live in a small town so i can do this with my vet but kn the cities its a lot harder bjt some vets have clients with there cards down to help peaplo who come in with trouble with money pfcourse with the premision of the client to use the card to help anlmals in need
