This gem should have been on the radio. I love how Yusuf/Cat embraces life and faith.

Always loved his vocal inflections (...."makes it easy to comb your hair"). Great performance here. What a voice on this man

At 2.30, how beautifully he smiles ever so lightly when he hears the audience ' exclamation after their realizing that the song Where Do The Children Play has started!

@dushiDD Dear Friend: It does seem correct now, and I thank you for bringing this to my attention! I do wish someone would post the studio version still, as this is one of my favorite Cat Stevens songs, and the audio seems a little slurred/and or slowed down! But, thank God for this great clip, or we'd have nothing feom Cat Stevens/Yusaf Islam from 1979! Thanks for this great post! Sincerely, BobbyK

He was actually already Yusuf--but it was last time he performed as Cat Stevens.

@bobby7771117 it's the correct title... you should try watching the video with audio first, and then tell me it's the wrong title.

I have learned some disturbing things about Cat/Yusuf in those between years, like in late 1976, at the age of 28 he was dating a 16 year old girl. Same young woman he became engaged to 3 weeks before he dumped her married Sauzia because she wasn't a suitable wife for a Muslim. She was only 19 at the time. As much as I loved his music, I realized it's OK to love the music and not the man. His choice was his, and that's fine, but the excuses he has given, the truths he has never told made me lose respect for who he became

We can never know the full story when it comes to personal relationships so I respect your opinion but it's best not to judge when it comes to these matters

We knew him only through his music and it is better not to complicate by adding other things to the reckoning.

According to Carly Simon, who dated him briefly back in the 70s, he also slept with boys as well as girls. Not that I care, except it's rather hypocritical of him to now be such a vehement opponent of gay rights.

from peace train to literally saying he'd want to see a critic of islam burned to death in public, then being blocked from entry to the US for being some sketchy ties, possibly to terrorists after 911, to dropping the Islam part of his name, to then calling himself yusuf/cat stevens, to present day where I sometimes see him being advertised as Cat Stevens. The name change timeline so far

That's not Cat Stevens. Cat sadly died in the Winter of 1977. :'( This is Yusuf, a complete different Person.
