As a cat lover, I obviously have to like this. This gets five out of five paws :)

Purrrrfect playing, James! It's great to see that, not only can the organ be an instrument of great power and majesty . . . it can also be great fun and Bedard's music reveals this infrequently seen dimension of the organ to great effect. The Aeolian-Skinner, opus 1301 is the ideal instrument to showcase this Suite and you wonderfully capture the mischievous feline themes that thread through Bedard's wonderful score. Maybe not a piece suitable for Mass . . . but certainly of mass appeal!

I used the Aeolian-Skinner as it’s a very common instrument in the states-I wanted to make the piece feel at ‘home’ in a standard parish setting. The Toc-cat-a would make a cheeky postlude.

@@james.flores It certainly would! I think it sad that (some) people forget that God has an amazing sense of humour . . . after all, he made us and we're all pretty funny!

It's nice to listen to this suite in its entirety.

Beautifully done! Lost our dear calico this past January. We are planning a rededication of our instrument after a total rebuild and relocation of our console during the pandemic. Will be performing this piece in memory of Lexi.

Splendid performance. It's a real fun piece and tricky rather than difficult to play. (The B major section of the Toc-cat-a always catches me out - must put in more practice!) I'm afraid my cat slept right through it but I never thought she was musical anyway.

Thanks! Yes, the B major section caused me grief in the learning stages.
