The resurrection of the legendary Binson ECHOREC multi-head drum echo
Driving force behind Pink Floyd's Pompeii performance. The Echorec is one of the most recognizable pieces of Pink Floyd mythos.
The Binson Echorec was so cool we had no choice but to bring it back. And we wanted to bring it back right. We wanted to take all the goodness of that huge Binson Echorec and squeeze it down into a standard sized stompbox without losing anything. In fact, in addition to not losing any of the qualities that made it such a compelling musical device, we wanted to EXTEND its capabilities because the original Binson hinted at possibilities that it couldn’t realize. We’re talking about variable delay time! We thought, “What if we had the same four playback head concept but could stretch the delay time out beyond the 300mS of the original Binson?” Then the rhythmic patterns suggested by the various combinations of those four playback heads could really come to life!

It really is great how you can get it to sound like a proper echo. Gives some real dimension and versatility to this pedal.

I wish my Belle Echo deluxe had expression like ehx Oceans 12...but its awesome. So other parameters id do with that..

@@harrisfrankou2368 I have the belle epoch deluxe and honestly it's my favourite thing lol..I'd say its totally worth the upgrade..its amazing with the expression pedal going into a red DLS pedal..i have other delays but its just slapback heaven...I build pedals so I'm think of turning the mono out into a fake stereo signal at least...or maybe finding a way to chain to two deluxes together in parallel use dual gang pots to control both 🤔

Dude and a rotary style switch or buttons for the tape head selector

@@adefrrr well the echoplex only ever had one slideable head..the trail on the head when you move it is a big part of the echoplexs character,having more then one would be too much of departure into what other digital delays do I think..the rotary switch for the modes might be better but if the variable mechanism is measured variable resistance what we get on the bed is acceptable....tbh id love to replicate the bed circuit,i think it might be even be feasible to replace the digital delay line with real tape..that would be the most OG thing catalinbread could do..id love to work on all of these to see if I could futher them

great pedal, but the mode-select-knob with the little white point is very hard to handle. It would be great with a "click-function" or a white stripe in the side so you can see which mode is selected. actually is like to make a guess

Much cleaner and clearer than the Foxgear T7E Baby; it's lacking some of the schmutz that made the vintage units so charming/difficult. I can see how the increased clarity would be useful, though.

This pedal has been out a long time, I'm kind of glad they didn't Gilmour the demo to death... almost all the old demos are just Floyd riffs.

There's nothing more pointless than that. We know what this sounds like in Pink Floyd songs. What else can it do for a guitarist is the question. Like trying to watch op-amp muff demos and only hearing pumpkins riffs. Useless.

Just bought this pedle and it’s says it’s in demo mode and the only way to turn the demo off is by turning the gain but there is no gain 😂😂😂 please fix your marketing

I like how the Fender Deluxe is just for show. It´s not even on, come on, At least put ut in stand by so the ljewel iight goes on and as you think peopple is stupid enough to thnik you are using the amp for real, If your gonig to use software, an amp sim, a pedalboard, just use It just don´t try to fool people, peopple are not stupid, your viewers are not stupid, I think putting a dummy amp not even turn on is stupid, so as Forest Gump said "Stupid is, stupid does"
