I just got an Echorec. Really beautiful sounding pedal. As much as I'd want an original binson or similar, this pedal is really satisfying. It has an earthy prickle in the pre amp which makes the repeats sparkle warmly without drowning out the playing or sounding dull.

Huge fan of catalinbread, I use a bunch of your pedals and they’re all amazing. Might have to pick up an echorec now too. I’d love to see you guys make a pedal based on the Roland RE-201 space echo units. Maybe with a hidden switch to active a chorus effect, turning it into the chorus echo too. :) just a thought.

I have an echorec pedal and this demo is accurate. I run mine after the OCD and Analogman BC108 Sunface for some epic early Gilmour leads. The tone knob is the sweetest feature. Can go from warm to more open and airy sounding easily.

Just discovered this demo. The EchoRec is now on my shopping list. I always wanted to reproduce the sound of Mick Bolton on UFO II - this pedal seems to bring me close to that goal in every aspect. Btw. great, inspiring playing - I am loving it . And the demo could have been endless for me :-)

I already have an Echorec, and LOVE it, and an OD that I like and run before it on my board, but DAMN, Howard, you're making me want to order one of those new DLS MKIIIs and get ANOTHER Echorec so I can stack the Echorec into the DLS in front of everything else. Fantastic playing, as always, too. Really fluid, creamy, and dynamic, and full of ROCK and/or ROLL. I think that "Gee" is short for "The Greatness." And the Echorec does that to me, too: I can get lost in it for hours...

First of all great playing! I just would love to see the same demonstration "Touch sensitive playing dynamics" with the Belle Epoch... Apart from the multi head selector in the echorec, can we achieve the same response with the preamp of the belle epoch in boost mode?

How do you palm mute without hitting the volume knob on a strat? Or do strat players play palm up?
@m0j0b0ne9 ай бұрын
Just gotta angle your hand right; it comes natural, after a while. Bear in mind, you almost never need to palm mute all six strings; you can usually spare a fret hand finger to mute any or all of the higher strings.

But who is this clown? Why the manufacturers don't order once and for all, the demo clips to persons able to play something besides making comic facial expressions? Too bad because I think the Catalinbread is a good brand
@TheCallen677 жыл бұрын
This 'clown' designed the pedal. And I agree with the majority of commenters on here that he plays a mean guitar.

So the EchoRec is supposed to be used in front of the amp, not in the loop? And if distortion comes from a box instead of the amp, the EchoRec needs to be in the chain before the OD?
