Catalinbread Echorec Demo

I wanted to recreate those vintage tones and the tape echo is a must for some early eras and modern too!! If you listen carefully to the rattle that lock solo, you'll hear a tape echo on the back (Providence maybe? Boonar? Don't know really).
Anyway. Great pedal IMHO. Worth checking out!

Best Binson pedal imo. The Dawner Prince Boonar is also very good, but there's something about the Catalinbread that is just magic. Eric Johnson loves 'em.

Yeah this sounds really nice. I love it. Still have to try the Boonar. I'd like to know which I prefer... I didn't know Eric Johnson uses this...currently on his board??

haraldamsterdam1988 yeah...I'd like a solution for delays with everything in one spot, but I don't know if the DD500 would be capable of this.. So yes. So far it seems a good acquire ;)

Anyway consider that the Belle Epoch is comparable to the "single head" mode on this one! The "Recording level" knob and the "mod" knob are also in the Echorec as internal trimmers!

2 different pedals with different philosophies. The Deluxe MM is an analog delay with modulation (BBD). The Echorec is a multi-head magnetic echo (emulated via analog circuitry). Yeah, we could say that the MM with modulation off and the Echorec in single-head mode are siblings...But still. Different flavour IMHO.

Thank you! I'm not cranking the amp for 2 reasons: 1 in Gilmour sound the amp needs to have much headroom, 2: playing at home I had to set the volume very low! Now I have an attenuator, but I still try to keep the amp clean, because for Gilmour distortion usually comes from pedals! 😉

Marcelo Angelo for this video I had master and volume around 3, Fat off, Treble 4, bass 6, mid 5...but I usually keep more mids...around 8

Marcelo Angelo blend at 2, volume to give a slight boost, and usually the switch is for a mid compression! Don't worry about the questions! It's a pleasure for me! :)
